  3.         After XR06200 SVGA mode cause color corruption on S3 systems.

  5.         DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:

  7.         After installing XR06200 and setting system up to run in SVGA
  8.         mode desktop boots to a gray desktop, scroll bars are black and so
  9.         are the icons.

  11.         SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:

  13.         Edit the SVGADATA.PMI file to reference an unknown RAM DAC.
  14.  
  15.         DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  16.  
  17.         1. If system is not use able then run RSPDSPI to bring system
  18.            down to VGA mode.
  19.         2. Install SVGA support via DSPINSTL, DO NOT  RE-BOOT.
  20.         3. Open an OS/2 session.
  21.         4. CD to the OS2 sub-directory.
  22.         5. Open the SVGADATA.PMI file with an editor.
  23.         6. Scroll to the section called [Cleanup]
  24.         7. Edit the following:

  26.       Change the following statement from:
  27.  
  28.                    HI-COLOR DAC by ....
  29.               to:
  30.                    HI-COLOR DAC by unknown
  31.  
  32.         8. Save the file.
  33.  
  34.         9. Shut down and re-boot system.
