  11. SYMPTOM:
  12.  
  13.   - Installing OS/2 WARP on a system with Adobe Type Manager 3.0
  14.     "backlevels" to ATM Ver. 2.5.
  15.   - Lost access to imported fonts already on the system.
  16.  
  17. RESOLUTION:
  18.  
  19.      How WARP is installed determines what is modified.
  20.  
  21.      DUALBOOT:
  22.  
  23.         WARP replaces the current ATM.INI in the WINDOWS
  24.         subdirectory.
  25.  
  26.      BOOTMANAGER:
  27.  
  28.         WARP may point to the X:\PSFONTS subdirectory partition
  29.         where it is installed and not to the path in the original
  30.         ATM.INI file.

  34. PROCEDURES:
  35.  
  36.       DUALBOOT:
  37.  
  38.         Before installing WARP:
  39.  
  40.         1.  Rename the current X:\WINDOWS\PSFONTS directory to
  41.             X:\WINDOWS\TPSFONTS.
  42.  
  43.         2.  Rename or backup the current ATM.INI file.
  44.  
  45.         3.  Reinstall Adobe Type Manager 2.5, 2.6, or 3.
  46.  
  47.         4.  After installation, copy X:\WINDOWS\TPSFONTS and
  48.             X:\WINDOWS\TPSFONTS\PFM to the X:\WINDOWS\PSFONTS and
  49.             X:\WINDOWS\PSFONTS\PFM directories.

  52.          After installing WARP:
  53.  
  54.          1. Rename the current X:\WINDOWS\PSFONTS directory to
  55.             X:\WINDOWS\TPSFONTS.
  56.  
  57.          2. Reinstall Adobe Type Manager 2.5, 2.6, or 3.0
  58.  
  59.          3.  After installation, add the fonts from the the ATM
  60.              ADD feature choosing X:\WINDOWS\TPSFONTS\PFM
  61.              in the directories window.
  62.  
  63.  
  64.       BOOTMANAGER:
  65.  
  66.      If Windows is on the same partition that WARP will be
  67.      install on, follow the "Before installing WARP" steps
  68.      above.
  69.  
  70.      If WARP is installed on a different partition:
  71.  
  72.      1. Edit the ATM.INI file to be:
  73.  
  74.           {Setup}
  75.           PFM_Dir=c:\psfonts\pfm
  76.           PFB_Dir=c:\psfonts
  77.  
  78.           {Settings}
  79.           ATM=On
  80.           QLCDir=c:\psfonts
  81.  
  82.           Version=3.0
  83.           TmpDir=c:\

  85.      2. Reinstall ATM from diskettes.

  87. Note:  Applications that are migrated need the WIN_ATM in the
  88.        notebook set to ON.  You may alson need to reinstall
  89.        special fonts not included with ATM.
