-
- FUNCTIONALITY:
-
- There are 5 PM Diary mini applications included with OS/2 2.1:
- Daily Planner
- Monthly Planner
- Calendar
- Activities List
- Alarms
-
- They can track events in your every day life; for example
- birthdays, anniversaries, appointments, and vacation schedules.
- This document describes the limitations of the mini apps and
- provides step by step instructions for setting a Master Planner
- File so the individual mini apps can "talk" to each other.
-
- LIMITATIONS:
-
- The mini apps in OS/2 are provided "AS IS", without warranty
- or service.
-
- Several improvements have been made to the mini apps in releases
- later than OS/2 2.0, although the following limitations
- currently exist:
-
-
- 1. When you select the "Master Planner File" option under the
- Customize heading in the Alarms mini app with a file created
- in the Daily Planner, the times do not sort using the AM/PM
- conventions. They are numeric comparisons. The Monthly
- Planner also does not sort using AM/PM convention.
-
- 2. The maximum entries in the Daily Planner is 1024.
-
- 3. You cannot write to a file that is being used by more
- than one mini app. For example, if you:
- 1. Open the Daily Planner,
- 2. Open a file
- 3. Open the Calendar
- 4. Open the same file
- 5. Open Activities
- 6. Open the same file
- 7. Add an entry to the Daily Planner
- 8. Save the file
- An error message appears indicating a sharing violation occurred.
- You need to shut down the other mini apps and resave the file.
- This is how the mini app was designed.
-
