  12. SYMPTOMS:
  13.   PCMCIA support does not work in OS/2 WARP on Gateway color
  14.   notebooks. Gateway Color Notebook Socket Services are not
  15.   available in OS/2 WARP Selective Install.

  18. RESOLUTION:
  19.   When installing PCMCIA support on Gateway Color Notebooks,
  20.   follow steps for a Selective Install:
  21.  
  22.   1.  Open OS/2 System.
  23.  
  24.   2.  Open System Setup.
  25.  
  26.   3.  Open Selective Install.
  27.  
  28.   4.  Select OK, next screen appears.
  29.  
  30.   5.  Place a checkmark to the left of PCMCIA Support.

  32.   6.  Select Install.
  33.  
  34.   7.  Select IBM2AST1.SYS device driver.

  37. NOTE:  This Device Driver may work for other notebooks with the
  38.        same PCMCIA Socket Services chipset.
