  13. Can OS/2 for Windows be installed without Windows 3.1?
  14.

  16. If you want WINOS/2 support, Windows 3.1 is required to install
  17. OS2 for Windows.  If you do not want WINOS2 support, you could
  18. install from the OS/2 diskettes even if you do not have Windows
  19. 3.1 installed on your machine.  You would have an OS/2 system
  20. without the WINOS/2 functionality.

  22. If you decide later that you want WINOS/2 support, you could
  23. perform a selective install of WINOS/2.  During this process,
  24. you are prompted for the actual Windows 3.1 diskettes.
