  12. Installing on TI Notebooks (TI4000/30, /40/& 50's.)

  14. SYMPTON: Error Message:  COUNTRY.SYS on diskette 1 while
  15.          installing OS/2
  16.  
  17. RESOLUTION:  It is recommended the following settings in
  18.              Advanced Options be changed while installing.

  20. PROCEDURES:

  22. Go to CMOS Advanced settings:
  23.  
  24.  1. Power Savings=Off
  25.  2. Time Out Interval=On
  26.  3. HDmotor Timeout=On
  27.  4. LCD Power=Low
  28.  5. Advanced OS Power=Off
  29.  6. External cache=Off
  30.  7. Turbo=Off.
  31.  
  32. NOTE: All settings can be set back to normal after the
  33.       installation is completed.

  35.       The Power savings switch in the TI4000/33 is not
  36.       compatible with OS2 2.1 Power management software,
  37.       and should not be used.
