  3. Thanks for your interest in PMMail and thanks for your patience.  I have
  4. committed a lot of time trying to make PMMail the best it can be.  Of
  5. course, there is always room for improvement, so I welcome your comments
  6. at rrn@po.cwru.edu.

  8. I rushed to get the help file together, so there are undoubtedly some
  9. typos and bad grammar.  I ask that you please forgive this.  I really
  10. wanted to get the program into your hands.

  12. To install PMMail, just place the contents of this zip, PMMAIL.EXE and
  13. PMMAIL.HLP into a directory (Generally, X:\PMMAIL) and run the executable
  14. from that directory.  NOTE: you must be in the directory when you run
  15. PMMail because it self installs, and will root itself down wherever the
  16. working directory is.  When you first run PMMail, it will complain that
  17. it can't find FOLDERS.INI and it will ask if this is a new installation.
  18. Answer yes to the question.

  20. Once PMMail is open, open the configuration for networking and complete it.
  21. It is under the PMMail->Configure menu.

  23. Once you have done this, just explore.  I realize the help may not be
  24. perfect, but my mail client (unlike UMail) is fairly straight forward,
  25. so what I provide should be enough. :)

  27. I hope you like PMMail.  If you have any bug reports, please send them
  28. to me with the phrase 'PMMail Bug:' in the title.  If you have a feature
  29. request, plaease send it to me with the phrase 'PMMail request:' in the title.

  32. There are some known incompatibilities with OS/2 2.x.  The problems all have to
  33. do with PM API calls not bahving the same way they do under warp.  These
  34. problems manifest themselves in folders not appearing until after a restart,
  35. etc...  It's not that big of a deal, just kind of annoying.

  41. P.S.  I developed this program with OS/2 in 'Small font' mode.  As a result,
  42. I had to hand correct a few dialogs which were corrupted when OS/2 is
  43. in it's normal 'Big' mode.  If you notice anything is screwy, just let
  44. me know.
