  18.          ** Extract2 (X-OS2-17) -  An UnZIP/UnARC/UnLZH Utility **
  19.      Extract2 (tm) is a utility designed for working with  archive files.  It
  20.   provides list/text/extract capabilities transparently across .ARC, .ZIP, and
  21.   .LZH files. The program will automatically detect the appropriate file type,
  22.   and will search for all three extensions if the input file  spec does not
  23.   contain an extension. Run Extract2 with no parms for a display of the
  24.   correct usage syntax.

  27.   following programs:

  29.   - SEA's ARC, thru version 6.00 (excluding version 1)

  38. This is the latest release of an evolutionary product that  began 7 years ago:
  39. -  Research into automated task scheduling began in 1982.

  41. -  General release of TimeStar (1.0) for DOS in April, 1986.
  42. -  First release of TimeStar (2.0) for Windows in March,  1989.
  43. -  First release of TimeStar for OS/2 Presentation Manager,  May, 1989.

  46. TimeStar 2.1 OS/2 beta 1 (version 230) was released July 31,  1989.

  48. TimeStar was the first OS/2 Presentation Manager application  on the market.
  49. It was developed and published by TimeStar Systems of Santa  Cruz, California.

  51.       VIDEOCAT  is  a  specialized  database  program  designed for
  52.  cataloging a collection of movies or similar materials  stored  on
  53.  videocassettes.  Each record contains the following  information:
  54.       -     title
  55.       -     year of release
  56.       -     subject type
  57.       -     form type
  58.       -     quality rating
  59.       -     MPAA rating code
  60.       -     actors (maximum 3 names)
  61.       -     director
  62.       -     cassette number
  63.       -     index number on cassette

  65.                        SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  67.       Version 6.0 is a "bound" or "family applications  program in-
  68.  terface" (FAPI) program;  it will run under either DOS  or   OS/2.
  69.  Although the compiler guarantees compatibility only with  DOS Ver-
  70.  sion 3.x, it appears to run correctly under DOS 2.10.

  72.       This program has been tested on the IBM PC,  XT, AT  and PS/2
  73.  series of computers. It should work on close  compatibles;
  74.  however experience with user comments suggests that some  clones
  75.  are not as compatible as claimed. Although all testing has   been
  76.  on machines with color displays, the program is intended to  run
  77.  on monochrome displays as well.
