  13. "The SALT Programming HyperText Manual v1.0 SPHM10, is a
  14. context-sensitive help system, pop-up manual, and tutorial for
  15. the Script Application Language for Telix (SALT). It is desig-
  16. ned to be used as either a learning tool for SALT programming
  17. and/or to assist in the programming of Telix SALT scripts. 
  18. SPHM10 presents the Telix v3.15 SALT Programming Manual in
  19. HyperText format. HyperText is text with embedded cross refe-
  20. rences, called HyperText links. These links allow the program-
  21. mer to jump to related reference material. Thus, the SALT
  22. Programming Manual is presented 'multi- dimensionally.' 
  23. Features of SPHM10 include context-sensitive searching, stand
  24. alone or TSR (Terminate & Stay Resident) operation, automatic
  25. screen mode sensing, copy and paste, mouse support, place
  26. marking, backtracking, topic searching, printing, and export-
  27. ing. 
  28. In stand-alone mode, SPHM10 can be operated as an intuitive,  
  29. interactive tutorial system for the beginner. The user (or
  30. reader) may explore the SALT Programming Manual in any direc-
  31. tion he or she desires. 
  32. When used in TSR mode, SPHM10 can be accessed from within any
  33. text editor (such as QEDIT, TED, etc.) while programming a
  34. SALT script. The context-sensitive nature of SPHM10 can bring
  35. the needed information directly onto the screen without se-
  36. arching. 
  37. The user can look up information about commands, related
  38. commands, SALT program structure, etc., and return directly to
  39. the script being edited."

  41. Dit programma is een bijna onmisbare hulp voor diegenen die
  42. onbekend zijn met het programmeren van TELIX-scripts als
  43. 'leerboek' maar zeker ook voor hen die ervaren TELIX-progra-
  44. mmeurs zijn (God Bless Their Phone Bills) als naslagwerk. Het
  45. gebruik in TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) mode is in beide
  46. gevallen aan te bevelen. Let er wel op dat het programma 56
  47. KBytes geheugen inneemt. Voor een normale programmeersessie
  48. zou dit geen probleem hoeven te zijn. Tijdens editing met
  49. zowel Norton Editor als PCTOOLS Editor (versie 6) voldeed het
  50. programma uitstekend.
