  48.                     THE FILES ON YOUR PC-CALC+ DISKS
  49.  
  50. This information is provided so that you'll know the function of
  51. each file and program in the PC-Calc+ system. Some of these files
  52. came with your PC-Calc+ disks. Some of them are created during the
  53. course of using PC-Calc.
  54.  
  55. COLOR.PRO
  56.    This is a profile for running PC-Calc+ on a color monitor.
  57. CONVERT.EXE
  58.    CONVERT.EXE is the import and export program. You can convert
  59.    your PC-Calc+ data to comma delimited format, DIF and 1-2-3.
  60.    Likewise, you can import your DIF and 1-2-3 data into PC-Calc+
  61.    by using the CONVERT program.
  62.    CONVERT.EXE will also convert old PC-Calc data (PC-Calc versions
  63.    1.0 through 3.0) into the PC-Calc+ format.
  64. filename.PCC
  65.    This is the data, defaults, etc. that you have entered into your
  66.    spreadsheet.
  67. filename.PRO
  68.    This file provides profile information that will be used whenever
  69.    you load it. You may save an unlimited number of profiles for
  70.    later recall.
  71. filename.MAC
  72.    This file is created when you define and save macros. It contains
  73.    the macro character strings. You may save an unlimited number of
  74.    macro files for later recall.
  75. filename.PRN
  76.    This file contains printer information. It contains the printer
  77.    control and printer port information. You may save an unlimited
  78.    number of PRN files for later recall. The PC-Calc+ Utility Disk
  79.    contains the following PRN files: 
  80.    EPSON.PRN for Epson and IBM dot matrix printers, 
  81.    OKIDATA.PRN for Okidata dot matrix printers, 
  82.    TANDY.PRN for Tandy (Radio Shack) DMP dot matrix printers,
  83.    NEC_PIN.PRN for NEC Pinwriter dot matrix printers,
  84.    TOSHIBA.PRN for Toshiba dot matrix printers and 
  85.    HP.PRN for HP Laser Jet printers (independent of the cartridge,
  86.    courier portrait and landscape defaults).
  87. FILES
  88.    This file.
  89.  
  90. GRAPH.ME
  91.    This file is created by PCG2.EXE to keep track of your answers
  92.    to questions about graphs. You can run PCG2.EXE as a standalone
  93.    program when the GRAPH.ME file is present.
  94. MICPRINT.FY
  95.    MICPRINT.FY and its companion file SBO.FY contain the fonts used
  96.    for printing characters on graphs. If you are using the graphics
  97.    feature, these files should be in the same subdirectory with your
  98.    other PC-Calc+ program files. If you never do graphs, these files
  99.    can be deleted.
  100. P90.EXE
  101.    P90.EXE is a sideways printing program. It prints wide text
  102.    files at 90 degrees.
  103. PCC.EXE
  104.    The main program module of PC-Calc+. It must reside either in
  105.    the root directory or somewhere on the DOS PATH.
  106. PCC.HLP
  107.    The help file used by PC-Calc+ whenever you press F1. This file
  108.    is optional, but highly recommended if you have room for it. You
  109.    must place it on the same drive and in the same subdirectory with
  110.    PCC.EXE either in the root directory or somewhere on the DOS PATH
  111.    
  112. PCCALC.PRO
  113.    A control file used by PC-Calc+ to determine your operating
  114.    environment. Contains information about your printer, screen
  115.    colors, etc. It's created by the Configure command from the main
  116.    menu. This file is optional, because if it is missing PC-Calc+
  117.    will assume a standard set of defaults (no color support and IBM
  118.    graphics printer).
  119. PCG2.EXE
  120.    This is the graph drawing sub-program. If you will be doing
  121.    graphs, this program must be in the same subdirectory as your
  122.    other PC-Calc+ programs. If you will not be doing graphs, you
  123.    can delete this program.
  124. PRODUCTS
  125.    This file contains an order form and a brief description of
  126.    ButtonWare products.
  127. READ.ME
  128.    A text file provided for additional miscellaneous information.
  129.    You can view this file with any word processor that reads ASCII
  130.    files, or print it on your printer with this command:
  131.       COPY A:READ.ME PRN
  132. RESPONSE
  133.    A text file containing a copy of the User Response Form. This
  134.    file may be printed out to create a feedback response form for
  135.    mailing to ButtonWare. You can delete it if you wish. However,
  136.    the information ButtonWare receives on these forms is carefully
  137.    evaluated. If you want to let us know about additional features
  138.    (or improvements to current ones) in PC-Calc+, please complete
  139.    this form and send it to us.
  140. SAMPLE.MAC
  141.    This is a sample macro file.
  142. SBO.FY
  143.    SBO.FY and its companion file MICPRINT.FY contain the fonts used
  144.    for printing characters on graphs. If you are using the graphics
  145.    feature, these files should be in the same subdirectory with your
  146.    other PC-Calc+ program files. If you never do graphs, these files
  147.    can be deleted.
  148. TUTORIAL.PCC
  149.    This is a sample spreadsheet that is explained in greater detail
  150.    in the Brief Tutorial section of the manual.
