  24.     OMEGA-TERM is a communications program for the modem,  which
  25. can be configured to suit your needs. You can configure the
  26. communication parameters, file names, modem and printer,  buffer
  27. sizes, and windows and colors. Commands are easy-to-use, and  can
  28. be viewed on a pop-up menu. The 10 function keys can be  defined
  29. for your 10 most commonly-used commands. An on-screen clock
  30. figure will help to keep track of how much time you spend on  the
  31. phone lines. OMEGA-TERM has extensive file functions. You  can
  32. view a file, rename a file, change file attributes, or  delete a
  33. file. Any directory listing will show all files on the  diskette,
  34. including hidden files, read-only files, and subdirectories.  You
  35. may create or delete a subdirectory, and show the amount of  disk
  36. space available. You can change the path and the default  drive,
  37. and shell to DOS. ANSI graphics can be toggled on or off,  and
  38. sessions can be captured onto disk.

  40.     ONE TO ONE (a.k.a. 121) is a unique telecommunications
  41. program designed to be used for communications between two
  42. individuals in real-time (as opposed to calling a BBS). 121
  43. boasts several interesting features which include the  ability to
  44. type messages back and forth (chat) during a file transfer,
  45. separate windows of text for incoming and outgoing messages  (to
  46. avoid garbled text caused by both people typing at the same
  47. time), and the sharing of a text file (both individuals have
  48. control over scrolling the file contents in a window). 
  49.   
  50.     Some other nice features include quick "pull-down" type
  51. menus, and a thorough series of help screens (easy, too;  just
  52. point to a menu choice and press <HOME> and up pops a help
  53. screen). All of these features combine to make this a good  choice
  54. of programs for novice as well as experienced users.

  56.     The program will run on any IBM-PC or compatible with at
  57. least 128K memory and one disk drive (not many communication
  58. programs will work on a single-drive system). The only  drawback
  59. is that the program must use a "HAYES"-compatible modem (one  that
  60. uses the AT command set).

  62.     One last word, since this program is designed as a tool  for
  63. human-to-human communication, it is not suited for  communicating
  64. with bulletin boards (BBS's) or on-line services. For these  ones you
  65. must use programs such as Q-MODEM and PRO-COMM which are  designed
  66. for this purpose.

  71. 128K memory, one disk drive, a modem, and DOS 2.0 or higher.

  74. print documentation, type: COPY OMEGA.DOC PRN (press enter).  To
  75. start ONE TO ONE, type: 121 (press enter). To print the
  76. documentation, type: COPY 121.DOC PRN (press enter).
