  35. Program name:        COMPOSER  V1.1
  36. Program Description: COMPOSER turns the row of keys from "A"
  37. to ":" into a keyboard that allows the user to make  single-voice
  38. tunes (one note at a time). Function keys define commands  and
  39. menus for adjusting tempo, making notes sharp or flat,  editing,
  40. loading, saving, changing from piano to organ voices, and
  41. changing octaves. The edit menu allows placement of notes  and
  42. rests, and allows for the variation of note timing from 1/16  note
  43. to 4 whole notes (the length of time a note is sustained).

  45. Tunes can saved to a file whose default title is SONGS.DTA  but
  46. can also be a Turbo Pascal(tm) library file (.LIB). Up to 40
  47. tunes can be saved to this file which can then be accessed
  48. through a of other programs included.  LISTSONG.COM sends a  list
  49. of the titles in SONGS.DTA to a printer for hard-copy  output.
  50. TUNES.COM will read the tunes in SONGS.DTA and can be used  in a
  51. batch file to play tunes in sequence. SONG.BAT is an example  of
  52. how this works.

  54. TRBOTUNES.SYS can be included in Turbo Pascal(tm)  applications
  55. and will call the contents of TRBOTUNES.LIB.

  57. COMPOSER.COM requires an IBM PC or compatible with 256K Ram,  and
  58. an IBM CGA or compatible color graphics adapter.
  59. TRBOTUNE.SYS requires Turbo Pascal and a Songs library  created
  60. with COMPOSER.
  61. TUNES.COM requires a Songs library created with COMPOSER and
  62. named SONGS.DTA.

  65. Program Description: TYPING is designed to provide feedback  on
  66. typing performance for who are interested in evaluating  their
  67. typing. When you see the text appear start typing. The time
  68. starts as soon as you type the first character.The program  does
  69. not display any statistics while you are typing.  When the  time
  70. is up the screen clears and your typing performance is  displayed
  71. in words er minute, total errors, and adjusted words per  minute.
  72. The nice thing about this program is that you may either  type
  73. from the screen or the file and type from that.  You supply  the
  74. file to type allowing a more print out resourceful use for  the
  75. program as well as control of it.
