INDUCTOR is a general-purpose inductor design
program. It handles air-core and toroidal inductors and
contains routines to allow the user to transform an air-core
inductor into a toroidal inductor and visa versa. The air-
core inductor equations are from the Radio Amateur's Handbook
while the toroidal equations are from the Micrometals catalog
#3; RF applications.
"Helical" was developed to fill the need for a quick and accurate
determination of the physical dimensions and feasibility of a Helical
Resonator filter design. Originally published in the July 1985 issue
of RF Design and written for the TI-99/4A computer this, the second
version, has been written for the IBM-PC and compatibles employing
MS-DOS 2.1 .
LOZ-DTUN is derived from a calculator program written by Andrzej B.
Przedpelski The circuit is basically a double-tuned bandpass filter with
impedence matching on both
ends.
MSTRIP.* - This program allows the user to enter
data measured from a piece of double-sided copper-clad PC
board (ie. capacitance measured between the two sides and
physical dimensions). Using this data, the program computes
an effective permitivity for the dielectric. The user can
then go into another section of the program and find widths
of microstrip lines of given impedences using the entered and
computed data.
PI-MATCH.* - This program accepts an input and output
resistance and calculates the pi-network to match the two.
The user can select the Q of the network.
