  21.                     PC-FILE+ version 1.0 ENHANCEMENTS

  23. (compared to PC-File version 4, disk 2916):
  24. * Far faster speed
  25. *Eliminated the multiple program files on disk. All of pc-file    is now in
  26. one program file. Easier to install, use, and share.     Much faster "chai-
  27. ning" from one module to another.
  28. * Context sensitive HELP windows. 
  29. * Much easier to learn and use. Command structure better organized.
  30. * Improved subdirectory support. 
  31. * New menus make PC-File even easier to learn and use.
  32. * "Setup" is much easier to use.
  33. * Help, error, message windows movable to allow viewing underneath.
  34. * A new TEACH mode can be turned on/off. When on, it automatically
  35.   provides the help screen associated with the prompt being requested.
  36. * The BIN command is no longer necessary. PC-File+ keeps track
  37.     of binary fields automatically (through the sort).
  38. * New CLONE routine makes cloning a snap.
  39. * New Labels printing program. Very flexible and easy to use. Draw
  40.   (paint) your label format.
  41. * Twice as many records allowed (65533 records maximum).
  42. * Relational database retrievals are now a standard feature.
  43. * Defining new databases is easier and more flexible:
  44.     Choose from a "Paint" the input screen mode, or

  57. * Import and export can handle selected records, with operator    override
  58. * Import can now import a pcfile database, changing field lengths if
  59.   necessary. This eliminates the need for a "merge" program. Allows
  60.   "merging" selected records.
  61. * A "Duplicate record" reporting utility has been added.
