  54. Osborne/McGraw-Hill Payroll with Cost Accounting

  56. It is assumed that the user of this disk will also have obtained  volume 2802:
  57. Osborne's Accounts-Payable/Accounts-Receivable and  General Ledger programs. 
  58. This is important in this case as some  of the subroutine '.BAS' files are on
  59. the other disks.  I refer  specifically to the following:
  60.      CURSOR.BAS
  61.      SUBS1.BAS
  62.      GENINFO.BAS
  63.      
  64. In addition it seems that our source (he who typed-in all these  programs)
  65. missed some of the P/R subroutines which may be found  in the book PAYROLL
  66. WITH COST ACCOUNTING published by Osborne/  McGraw-Hill (630 Bancroft Way,
  67. Berkeley, CA 94710):
  68.      PRNMASK.BAS
  69.      FIND-EOF.BAS
  70.      MSTRIN.BAS
  71.      MSTROUT.BAS
  72.      HISTORY.BAS
  73.      P-RSEARC.BAS
  74.      JOBFILE.BAS

  76. Also, one of the "main" programs is missing from this disk:
  77.      MSTRINIT.BAS
  78.  
  79. The above files are not overly lengthy and may be keyed in
  80. without too much difficulty.  It is assumed that the user will
  81. compile these programs and place the .EXE files on a master
  82. workdisk, leaving the .BAS files elsewhere as they are not
  83. needed for actual operation.

  85. It is assumed that the person installing these programs for
  86. usage will have some familiarity with CB86 conventions, and has  the book
  87. mentioned above.

  89. The same problems in the CP/M to MS-DOS conversion apply as with  volume 2802:
  90. - terminal installation (ANSI) is not easy
  91. - names starting with "P/R" were changed in "PAR" because of MS- DOS file
  92. naming rules. The CHAIN commands in the sources still  reflect the old CP/M
  93. names.
