BATMAN.BAS and the file SHELL.BAT, show one possible way to enhance DOS to
make it appear that DOS 1.10 and higher know how to process a "MENU" to
select the next program to be executed, regardless of whether that next
"program" is a ".COM," ".EXE," ".BAS," or built in DOS command.
DIR.BAS is a BASIC program that helps the user keep track of all his/her disk
files. The program is menu driven and is easy to operate. The program will
compile without modification.
Entries to the programs may be made from the keyboard or the program can read
a disk's directory directly. Entries made be individually deleted or deleted
via deletion of the data for an entire disk.
PROGRAM NAME: DISRTN.EXE
This program contains the following five disk utility routines:
1. List file names in a directory
2. List the sectors upon which a file resides.
3. Recover the first sector of an erased file.
4. Uncover a hidden file.
5. Hide a normal file.
The program is menu driven, and contains a description and help selection.
DRAW is an excellent program to demonstrate the color graphics capability
of the IBM PC. DRAW was written entirely in the IBM BASICA) (same as GW-Basic
on compatibles - Z.) and uses the 320 by 200 pixel color graphics mode. DRAW
provides an easy way to set colors, draw or sketch points, lines, boxes, and
circles, paint figures, and load or save screen pictures. MDRAW.BAS,
HDRAW.BAS, DRAW.CMT and DRAW.DOC are derived from PDRAW.BAS on the IBM PC
Club disk ADX0003.
PROGRAM NAME: FILTER.BAS
This is a BASIC program that can be used to remove control and non-ASCII
(garbage) characters from files that you have downloaded from remote systems.
Useful for removing the nulls at the beginning of each line which are
inserted by some systems.
GRAFTRAX.COM, GRAFTRAX.BAS, and GRAFTRAX.ASM are for printing PC
graphics on bit-plot printers. The program as delivered works with EPSON
GRAFTRAX(tm) and IBM GRAPHICS(tm) printers, but can be modified to work
with others.
QD is a machine language program from the Quadram Corporation that is
designed to create an ``electronic disk'', using the additional memory
provided on the company's Quadboard expansion boards.
SCROLL IS AN ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE SUBROUTINE TO BE USED WITH A BASIC PROGRAM
TO PERFORM SCROLLING OF THE SCREEN IN A SPECIFIED WINDOW. THE SUBROUTINE
WILL SCROLL THE CONTENTS OF THE WINDOW UP OR DOWN FILLING IN WITH A BLANK
LINE OF SPECIFIED ATTRIBUTE (I.E., BLACK, WHITE, RED, ETC...). THE ROUTINE
CAN ALSO BE USED TO CLEAR THE WINDOW.
SPOOL is run once and only once to set aside a 20k byte print spooling
buffer. From that point on, all files printed to the printer will be spooled
( that is, the printer will run concurrently with other system operations).
Spooler1 runs with the monochrome display card, and spooler2 runs with the
IBM printer card.
