Welcome to WUMPUS II!
This version has the same rules as 'Hunt The WUMPUS'. However, you now have a
choice of caves to play in. Some caves are easier than others. All caves
have 20 rooms and 3 tunnels leading from one room to other rooms.
The caves are:
0 - DODECAHEDRON -- The rooms of this cave are on a 12-sided object, each
forming a pentagon.
1 - MOBIUS STRIP -- This cave is two rooms wide and 10 rooms around (like a
belt).
2 - STRING OF BEADS -- Five beads in a circle. Each bead is a diamond with a
vertical cross-bar.
3 - HEX NETWORK -- Imagine a hex tile floor. Take a rectangle with 20 points
(intersections) inside (4X4). Join right & left sides to make a cylinder.
Then join top & bottom to form a torus (doughnut).
4 - DENDRITE WITH DEGENERACIES -- Pull a plant from the ground. The roots &
branches form a DENDRITE - ie., there are no looping paths. Degeneracy means
a) some rooms connect to themselves and b) some rooms have more than one
tunnel to the same other room. 5 - ONE WAY LATTICE - Here all tunnels go one
way only. To return, you must go around the cave. (About 5 moves).
6 - ENTER YOUR OWN CAVE !! -- The computer will ask you the rooms next to
each room in the cave.
*** Computer Operator***
This game simulates what it is like to be the operator of a large
interactive computer system, such as an IBM VM system. Your job
as the operator of the system is to keep user work flowing through smoothly.
In this simplified simulation, users have files
on disk and some will require a tape drive to do their work. The operating
system of the computer will tell you when a tape drive is needed by a user.
From time to time, disk drives will fail, tape drives will fail, the system
printer will get stuck. You have commands for examining the status of devices
attached to the system, commands for repairing devices, (repairs are done by
the CE), and commands for placing devices in service. You can look at the
status of all the users, and can see a list of things the operating system is
waiting for you to do.
If you wait too long to take action when problems occur, the system will
crash and the game is over.
PACKMAN - GAME DESCRIPTION
==========================
The objective is for PACKMAN to score as many points as possible by
devouring dots, prizes, power capsules, and "scared" monsters, while
avoiding fatal collisions with "mean" monsters. A screen ends when
all 180 dots and four power capsules are cleared. The game ends when
the player loses his last PACKMAN.
YOU HAVE CRASH LANDED ON THE EARTH'S MOON. YOU HAVE LIMITED SUPPLIES AND TIME
IN WHICH TO SURVIVE. TO TRAVEL, YOU MAY ENTER DIRECTIVES SUCH AS NORTH OR N,
AS WELL AS S, E, W AND U, AND D (UP AND DOWN). YOU WILL ENCOUNTER VARIOUS
ITEMS AND SITUATIONS DURING YOUR TRAVELS. TO COMMUNICATE, ENTER COMMANDS
(VERBS), FOLLOWED BY OBJECT NAMES, IF APPLICABLE. FOR EXAMPLE, GET XXX,
LEAVE, AND INVENTORY.
