  25. groff_char \- groff character names
  26. .SH DESCRIPTION
  27. This manual page lists the standard
  28. .B groff
  29. input characters.
  30. Only the characters that are available for the device that
  31. is being used to print this manual page will be displayed.
  32. The
  33. .I "Input code"
  34. column applies to characters which can be
  35. input with a single character, and gives the ISO Latin-1 code
  36. of that input character.
  37. The
  38. .I "PostScript name\"
  39. column gives the usual PostScript name of the output character.
  40. .LP
  41. The ISO Latin-1 no-break space (code 0240 octal) is equivalent to
  42. .BR \e (space).
  43. All other ISO Latin-1 characters print as themselves with the following
  44. exceptions:
