THE OS/2 GAMER'S GUIDE - January 1995 Edition
=====================================================
PLEASE READ THIS TEXT IN ITS ENTIRETY AS IT CONTAINS
IMPROTANT INFORMATION ON PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND ON
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.
Thank-you for taking a look at the first edition of
"The OS/2 Gamer's Guide". This program is meant to
be an easy to use tool in getting your DOS games
working their best under OS/2.
The program is very straight forward in it's design
and therefore should be extremely easy to use.
This first edition is obviously, and intentionally,
fairly limited in the quantity of games included. The
reasons for this are as follows:
(1) I want some feedback from users concerning the
design, layout, features, and scope of the guide.
If you feel something more should be added,
something should be changed or deleted, please
let me know.
(2) I have only a limited number of games myself and
therefore will need users to send me settings
for games that they have successfully managed to
get running under OS/2.
I hope to be able to release updates at regular
intervals in order to keep the contents of the guide
as up-to-date as possible and thereby support the
newest games. My initial idea is to do this on a
bi-monthly basis, but please comment if you think
otherwise.
Finally, this program is freeware but I would
appreciate a comment if you use the software. The
program, and the installation routine, were both
written entirely using VX-REXX v2.0c from Watcom. As
a result it requires you to have a copy of the VX-REXX
runtime library, VROBJ.DLL. This can be found on
numerous OS/2 FTP sites including ftp-os2.cdrom.com,
ftp.nmsu.edu and rexx.uwaterloo.ca.
Please send any comments, suggestions, game settings
or anything else to me at black2@server.uwindsor.ca.
Thanks,
Kevin James Black
