  37. The PC/2 package (consisting of the OS/2 PM application PC/2 and the WPS 
  38. program Object WPS 2 PC/2) is classified as Freeware. Under the copyright, you 
  39. are allowed and encouraged to freely use, distribute or modify this program 
  40. under the following conditions:

  42. o The complete source code and all executables are included. This rule also 
  43.   applies for any modifications you made. 
  44. o You may only charge for the costs of duplicating, distribution on InterNet, 
  45.   FidoNet or similar is preferred therefor. This program must not be sold by 
  46.   immoral "Public Domain & ShareWare" dealers that charge a price far ahead of 
  47.   the actual duplication costs. 
  48. o Any commercial use is prohibited without contacting me prior, except for

  87. WPS 2 PC/2 is a WPS program that can be used as an interface between the 
  88. Workplace Shell and PC/2. Because information about WPS Objects is not 
  89. available for programs not running in the WPS's address space, WPS 2 PC/2 was 
  90. developed:

  92. o to run within the WPS's address space to be able to access detailed 
  93.   information about WPS Objects 
  94. o to exchange the extracted detailed information with PC/2 by using Drag'n Drop 
  95. o to use the information extracted from the WPS by creating menuitems for 
  96.   PC/2's Popup-Menu 
  97.  
  98. To extract information from the WPS for use within PC/2, just drag any WPS 
  99. Object or Objects onto the icon of the WPS 2 PC/2 WPS Object on the Desktop. 
  100. WPS 2 PC/2 will immediately extract detailed information about the WPS Objects 
  101. dropped. You can then create Menuitems for PC/2's Popup-Menu by dragging from 
  102. the Status bitmap on WPS 2 PC/2's window to the Setup dialog of PC/2. 
  103.  
  104. This allows you to use the same settings of your WPS Objects within PC/2's 
  105. Popup-Menu without entering them twice. Imagine your favourite application 
  106. installs a folder containing programs with complicated settings onto the WPS. 
  107. To use your favourite application within PC/2's Popup-Menu too, just extract 
  108. its folder by dragging it onto WPS 2 PC/2's icon, and then drag the extracted 
  109. data from WPS 2 PC/2's window to PC/2's Setup dialog. Voila - your favourite 
  110. application is available from PC/2 too, its that easy!

  113.             Help or press F1. PC/2 and WPS 2 PC/2 are both installed by PC/2's 
  114.             installation program. You can rerun the installation, if PC/2 is

  122. The WPS 2 PC/2 window is the window of the WPS 2 PC/2 WPS Object that reflects 
  123. the status of extracting detailed information about WPS Objects for use within 
  124. PC/2.

  126. This window consists of the following parts:

  130. WPS Objects extracted This listbox contains the title of all WPS Objects that 
  131.             have been extracted by dragging them onto the icon of WPS 2 PC/2 up 
  132.             to now. If this listbox is empty, you haven't dropped any WPS 
  133.             Objects yet.

  135. Status 
  136.  
  137.    (Status empty) If the Empty Status bitmap is displayed, you haven't dropped 
  138.                any WPS Objects onto the icon of WPS 2 PC/2 yet. You may also 
  139.                notice that this bitmap always corresponds to an empty WPS 
  140.                Objects extracted listbox.

  144.                If the filled status bitmap is displayed, you've already dropped 
  145.                at least one WPS Object onto the icon of WPS 2 PC/2. You may 
  146.                also notice that this bitmap always corresponds to at least one 
  147.                entry in the WPS Objects extracted listbox.

  149.                Only when the filled status appears, you can drag the extracted 
  150.                information into PC/2's Setup dialog. Move the pointer onto this 
  151.                bitmap and just drag the bitmap onto the listbox of PC/2's setup 
  152.                dialog. Immediately after dropping the bitmap, the information 
  153.                extracted from the WPS Objects are converted to Popup-Menu 
  154.                menuitems by PC/2.

  156.                After successfully finishing the Drag'n Drop operation, WPS 2 
  157.                PC/2 clears itself, being ready to extract further WPS Objects.

  159. Clear       By selecting this button, WPS 2 PC/2 clears itself, being ready to 
  160.             extract WPS Objects. You may use this button, if you have extracted 
  161.             one or more WPS Objects by mistake.

  163. Help        Press the Help button to display the help page you are currently 
  164.             reading.
