  25. If you use bang paths, substitute your nearest neighbor which is also
  26. on the Internet for uunet in the examples above.  Some examples are:
  27. ames, decvax, decwrl, harvard, hplabs, nosc, rutgers, sharkey, sun,
  28. ucbvax, ucsd, udel, uw-beaver, wuarchive.

  30. Send these commands to the server to get its help files:

  32. Use this command for LISTSERV:   GET PDGET HELP
  33.  Use this command for TRICKLE:   /HELP
  34.  
  35. Sample command (which gets our catalog of MS-DOS files):

  37. /PDGET MAIL PD:<MSDOS.FILEDOCS>SIMLIST.ZIP UUENCODE

  39. These commands should be sent as the body of a regular email message.
  40. Do not include a signature because it confuses the server.  If you
  41. have xxdecode, you may wish to specify XXENCODE instead of UUENCODE to
  42. avoid character translation problems.

  44. SIMTEL20 does *not* run these servers.  Comments, questions, and
  45. suggestions should be directed to the LISTSERV or TRICKLE manager at
  46. one of these addresses, depending on which server you normally use:
