menu is accessed by pressing Alt-Space. All the other menus are accessed by pressing Alt-Z, where Z is the first letter of the menu. For example, the "File" menu is pulled down by Alt-F.
Context sensitive help is available in all menus by pressing F1. If you do not understand an option, press F1 at any time and hopefully what you find there will do the job.
To move around with the keyboard inside of a dialog box you must use the TAB key. If it seems that you can not type in a field, press the delete key to remove the current contents. )

Lockspeed
If you would like to lock your comm port (usually done with high speed modems) enter the locked comm port speed here. If you do not want a locked comm port set this to 0.
Forced COM Port
Some BBS software does not pass the correct COM port to MegaDOOR in DOOR.SYS or DORINFO.DEF. If this is the case with your software then you must set this to the COM port that you are using.
Forced IRQ
If you need your IRQ set differently than the default you may set it here. This applies only to the internal comm routines. If you are using the fossil it has a different method of IRQ setup.
Forced I/O Port
If you need your I/O port changed from the default you may set it here. This applies only to the internal comm routines. If you are using the fossil it has a different method of port setup. NOTE: THIS ENTRY MUST IN HEXADECIMAL!

There are five sysop definable text files that MegaDOOR uses:
CD-ROM Sysop Order Form
If you would like to override the default CD-ROM order form then specify the filename here. This text file supports Wildcat-like color changes. Example: To change the color to bright white put a @0F@ in the file. The menu option will show that the sysop is selling the disks if a sysop order form is defined. *This should reference the filename only! This file MUST be in the MegaDOOR directory, or MegaDOOR will not find it!*
Non-ANSI startup banner
This text file will be shown to non-ANSI users when MegaDOOR is started and should not contain ANSI graphics. *This should reference the filename only! This file MUST be in the MegaDOOR directory, or MegaDOOR will not find it!*
ANSI startup banner
This text file will be shown to ANSI graphics users when MegaDOOR is started. *This should reference the filename only! This file MUST be in the MegaDOOR directory, or MegaDOOR will not find it!*
Non-ANSI main menu
If you'd like MegaDOOR to look more like your BBS you may define your own main menu. This file is displayed to all non-ANSI users. *This should reference the filename only! This file MUST be in the MegaDOOR directory, or MegaDOOR will not find it!*
ANSI main menu
Same as above, but this file will be displayed to ANSI users. This should reference the filename only! *This file MUST be in the MegaDOOR directory, or MegaDOOR will not find it!*
Other sysop definable files include the change directory menus and the protocol menus. If you would like to change the dir menus create text and/or ANSI files named as follows. I
DIR.TXT/DIR.ANS Main directory menu
DIRx.TXT/DIRx.ANS Sub directory #x
If you would like to change the protocol menus you can create text and/or ANSI files named DLSING.ANS/.TXT and DLBATCH.ANS/.TXT.

Menus
You may change the names of the standard MegaDOOR menu items here. If a letter is enclosed in () it will be highlighted with the menu command color. This information can not be seen if you've chosen to use your own menu files in the Standard
Files menu.
Flag
This option specifies whether the option is (N)ormal (H)idden but user selectable or (S)ysop only. Sysop only options are also hidden, but may be used by the sysop in local mode.

Colors
You may change the colors that MegaDOOR uses for the different kinds of text outputted during a normal session. Use the chart below to choose your foreground and background colors. }
Keyboard users may hit Shift-LeftArrow and Shift-RightArrow to move this help box around and see all the color information.
If you are running a network and would like to use MegaDOOR's advanced network options then set this to Yes. If you use this option then you must complete an entry for each BBS node in the Network
Node submenus. MegaDOOR command line parameters also will change with this option. New parameters will be:
MEGADOOR # [local]
# specifies the node number MegaDOOR is being loaded as. LOCAL may be added as a second parameter if you would like a local logon. It is optional and thus is shown in brackets.
Clear Screens
Specifies the frequency of clearscreen codes that MegaDOOR will send out to the user. Low means that MegaDOOR will almost never use the clearscreen command. In medium MegaDOOR will try to keep information on the screen as much as possible, while minimizing scrolling. High means that MegaDOOR clears the screen every chance it gets.
K Limit
DOOR.SYS files have the capability to transfer daily download limits to and from the BBS. If you use these limits with a very DOOR.SYS compatible BBS you should turn this on. MegaDOOR will abide by the limits set in DOOR.SYS.
Hangup Timeout
If you would like MegaDOOR to drop carrier on users that time out mark this selection to Yes. Some sysops prefer that users are given more time to respond. Also note the inactive timeout option below.
Minimum access level
The minimum user access level required to use MegaDOOR. If the user has a lesser access the message 'MEGADOOR: Access not allowed!' will be sent to the user and MegaDOOR will exit.
Minimum dload level
This specifies the minimum level that a user must have to be able to download files from MegaDOOR. Use this to allow users to view files but not download them. May be good for a few BBS donations!
Minimum zipview level
If you want your users to be able to look around in MegaDOOR, but not actually use it then set this level to your "full user" access. If a user has a lower level than this he/she may not view or read archived files.
Inactive Timeout
The number of seconds that MegaDOOR will wait between keypresses before sending the user back to the BBS. If the user does not hit a key in this time he will not be hung up on, but MegaDOOR will exit to the BBS.
Sysop level
The level that a user is assumed to have during a local logon.
Local download path
Path to store files during local downloads.

Protocol
External
You may add up to six external protocols to MegaDOOR. Be aware that MegaDOOR may not handle download ratios correctly with external protocols. All external protocols are assumed to be multifile, and the sysop must provide a MegaDOOR compatible batch file to execute the protocol.
Protocol name
The name, as displayed to the user, of the external protocol.
Protocol batch file
The name of a batch file to execute when this protocol is selected. MegaDOOR passes x parameters on the batch file command line. They are:
%1 COM port
%2 Baud rate (a locked baud rate is passed when used)
%3 Full path to a file containing the filenames to be sent.
%4 The current node number (0 on non network/desqview systems)
Protocol output log
If your protocol outputs a log file or can be forced to do so, you may specify the filename here. The log file MUST be in the NODE%4 (where %4 is the node number passed from MEGADOOR) subdirectory of the MEGADOOR directory. If your protocol does not support a log file then do not specify any filename. MegaDOOR requires a log for file ratio support.
Command letter
The letter the user will use on the protocol menu to select this protocol.
Log pos
If you are using a log file then MegaDOOR needs to know the position in the log for the "Ok" character. In DSZ's log file, DSZ will put a Z or z in position 1 after a sucessful Zmodem transfer. Find out where this character is and input it here. MegaDOOR will not caculate download stats if this is left blank or zero.
Log ok
If you are using a log file then MegaDOOR needs to know which characters in it constitute an acceptable or completed download. MegaDOOR will look at the character at LogPos and if a match with Log ok is found the transfer is considered complete. You may enter up to ten characters that represent transfer success.
