  1. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.6

  3. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.6 adds the ability to copy files
  4. to a saved diskette image.  It also adds the ablility to find out
  5. how much space is available on the current diskette image.
  6.  
  7. An option has been added to the Group Duplicate function to tell
  8. the system to continue to duplicate sets of diskettes until the
  9. user tells it to stop.

  11. A small fonts option has been added to the SETUP screen.  This
  12. will cause the use of the small system font in dialog boxes.
  13. This will make the dialog boxes smaller.

  17. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.5 adds the ability to copy/delete
  18. files from a saved diskette image.
  19.  
  20. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.4 adds a setup routine to install
  21. the required files and setup a Program Manager Group.

  23. The user interface has been substantially improved.  Every dialog
  24. has a status/information bar that is mouse postition sensitive.

  26. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.4 has been approved by the
  27. Association of Shareware Professionals (see the SHAREW.TXT file for
  28. additional information).

  30. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.3 adds optional support for Double
  31. Space.  System diskettes may be made Double Space aware.  This means
  32. that if you have Double Space compressed drives and you boot from a
  33. Double Space aware diskette you will be able to access the
  34. information on the compressed drives.

  36. Diskette image conversion is now available.  You can read a diskette
  37. into memory and then convert to any format (360KB, 720KB, 1200KB,
  38. 1440KB, 2880KB) that has sufficient space for the data.  The
  39. conversion preserves the boot sector and any reserved sectors.

  41. Diskette browse command that shows the volume label, date and
  42. statistics for a diskette.

  44. Open command displays browse information for diskette file images.
  45. It also supports the truncate option which tells the system to only
  46. read in allocated cylinders.

  48. The performance of the SaveAs (saving a floppy diskette image to the
  49. hard drive) function has been improved.  Support for the truncate option
  50. (which tells the system to only save allocated cylinders) has been
  51. added as well.

  53. The system does not require CTL3D.DLL.

  57. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.2 adds support for deletion of
  58. groups of diskette images.  The user can select a group file
  59. and delete it and the associated diskette images after at
  60. least one set of diskettes has been made from the images.

  62. Support for specifying a group control file on the command line
  63. has been added.  This means that a program item can be added to
  64. a group that when pressed will automatically copy a set of diskette
  65. images to diskettes giving the user instructions on the number
  66. and type of diskettes needed and how to label each one.  The syntax
  67. for doing this is:
  68.           SABDU.EXE /@[drive:][path]filename.SDG
  69. The diskette images to be copied must be in the directory defined
  70. by drive:path.

  72. Statistics commands have been added to allow the user to display
  73. the number of functions performed since the system was installed,
  74. since the session started or since the last reset of the session
  75. statistics.

  77. Control over the interval between beeps when using the sound option
  78. has been added.

  82. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.1 adds support for creation of
  83. groups of diskette images.  The user may create a control file
  84. that includes a description of the set of diskettes, general
  85. instructions, diskette image file names, and instructions to
  86. be displayed after each diskette image is copied to a diskette.

  88. This means that it is possible to set up a control file for an
  89. application and have the user prompted for each diskette to be
  90. inserted and instructed as to how to label each diskette.
