  7. This file contains the latest information regarding FM Applic.
  8. For more information, please read the following files:

  15. Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1c

  18. 1.  Right mouse button application is no longer reset
  19.     when using Norton Desktop 3.0.
  20.  
  21. 2.  Problems with the installation program were fixed.
  22.     Also, install is a little bit friendlier.
  23.  
  24. 3.  The "AutoArrangeMenu" settings was added to
  25.     [Settings] section of FMAPPLIC.INI.  For more details,
  26.     See "Anatomy of FMAPPLIC.INI" in the on-line help.

  28. 4.  Documentation was updated with new mailing address

  38. New Features with Version 1.1
  39. -----------------------------
  40.  
  41. The following new features were introduced with FM Applic 1.1:
  42.  
  43.    o Auto-Load Application Icons Stay on Top of the File Manager
  44.  
  45.      The "Keep On Top" option has been added to the Application
  46.      Properties dialog box.  If you select this option, the
  47.      application's icon will stay on top of the File Manager
  48.      window.  
  49.  
  50.      This feature allows you to Drag-Drop files to your
  51.      auto-load applications even if the File Manager window is
  52.      expanded to full size.

  54.    o "Crop" Icon Shrinkage Method (Windows for Workgroups)
  55.  
  56.      The "Crop" icon shrinkage method has been added to the
  57.      Change Button dialog box.  If you select this option, a
  58.      16x15 section from the upper left hand corner of the icon
  59.      is copied pixel for pixel, to the toolbar button (i.e. no
  60.      shrinkage is performed).
  61.  
  62.      This feature allows you to create a custom toolbar button
  63.      using your favorite icon editor. Create your image in the
  64.      upper left hand corner (16 pixels wide by 15 pixels high)
  65.      of the icon.

  67.    o "Unknown" File Status in File Prompt (%@FP) Argument Field
  68.  
  69.      The File Prompt argument field now accepts UNKNOWN as a
  70.      keyword for file-status.  Use this keyword if the
  71.      application can accept a new file or an existing file. This
  72.      will display a File Name dialog box.

  75. Known Problems
  76. --------------
  77.  
  78. 1.  Under WIN-OS/2, FM Applic may have problems changing directories.
  79.     If this is the case, change the "Working directory" for your
  80.     applications to ".\".  This will cause FM Applic to pre-pend the
  81.     disk and path to each file name passed to the application.
  82.  
  83. 2.  Under WIN-OS/2, if you try to run an application and the program
  84.     file does not exist, the File Manager may abort abnormally.
  85.  
  86. 3.  When installing over an existing installation of FM Applic, and
  87.     you are using the File Manager, the position of application
  88.     toolbar buttons may be reset (messed up).  Simply choose the
  89.     "Costomize Toolbar" command from the File Manager's "Options"
  90.     menu.  Then you can restore the buttons back to their original
  91.     positions.
