  1. NoteBook 1.00 Field Note storage and
  2. retrieval utility for Windows 3.1
  3. Author: H. D. Baecker. NoteBook is a
  4. Windows 3.1 program designed for those
  5. not expert in computer use to keep field
  6. notes of their activities,
  7. consultations, interviews, etc as occur
  8. in the course of social work and similar
  9. occupations. Freeform Notes are
  10. organised into Notebooks, each Notebook
  11. covering some topic chosen by the user,
  12. in the case of social work it might be a
  13. client's case history. Notebooks may be
  14. searched according to criteria selected
  15. at the time of the search, not at N
  16. Notes can be printed, and exported to
  17. other Windows documents and files, and
  18. can be imported. Export to text
  19. editors/word processors allows for any
  20. form of formatting. Notes can also be
  21. exported to fax and communications
  22. programs. Notes can be of any length, up
  23. to about 10 pages each of a standard
  24. paperback. Notebooks can hold well over
  25. 10,000 Notes each, depending on the disk
  26. space available. The number of separate
  27. Notebooks stored is again only limited
  28. by the environment.
