  57. the modules in the Arcadia Workplace Companion exploit drag-and-drop
  58. techniques to put you in total control.  Pop-up menus are available from
  59. almost anywhere in the product to provide context-sensitive choices for any

  63. your busy schedule.  It has a full featured calendar and versatile clock.  
  64. The extensive Telephone/Address Book and Contact Management features allow 
  65. you to place, answer, and log phone calls.  The Appointment Book makes it
  66. easy to schedule meetings, phone calls, business trips, or whatever requires
  67. your valuable time.  There is even a free-form Notepad that can be customized
  68. to contain whatever information you desire.

  71. is a full 32-bit application that takes advantage of the Workplace Shell
  72. environment and is so intuitive, you'll feel like an expert the very first

  76. <SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS>

  78. The Arcadia Workplace Companion runs with the same hardware configuration 
  79. required by OS/2 2.1 or higher.  It supports VGA and XGA display adapters,
  80. HP PCL and Postscript compatible printers, and 100% Hayes compatible modems.
  81. The Arcadia Workplace Companion requires a mouse and at least 2 MB of fixed
  82. disk storage for the programs and data files.  Your actual storage needs may
  83. vary depending on the information kept in the system.

  85. <MODULE DESCRIPTIONS>
  86.  
  87. CLOCK/CALENDAR.  This module is the focal point of the Workplace Companion.  
  88. The Clock/Calendar shows the current date & time and provides the launching
  89. pad for all of the other modules.

  91. The Clock/Calendar provides a month calendar, a full-year calendar, Julian/ 
  92. Gregorian dates, analog/digital clock, international times, holidays, and 
  93. more!  You can customize the Clock/Calendar by adding your own holidays,
  94. international cities, and alarms.

  96. APPOINTMENT BOOK.  The Appointment Book is an ideal way to schedule your 
  97. day's events. Appointments may be added by clicking on the desired time slot 
  98. and typing a description. Duration for each appointment is set graphically 
  99. using the duration slider.

  101. Appointments may have note and alarm attached to them.  You can even launch 
  102. applications at specified times.  The default duration and time interval are 
  103. set in the Preferences Notebook and applied to all new appointments.

  105. TO-DO LIST.  The To-Do List is a convenient way to manage immediate or long-
  106. range tasks that do not necessarily require your full attention, but still 
  107. need to be completed.  For your convenience, To-Do List items may be 
  108. prioritized by number or date. You can even add appointments to the To-Do 
  109. List by simply dragging them from the Appointment Book.

  111. TELEPHONE/ADDRESS BOOK.  The Telephone/Address Book is a convenient way to 
  112. store the names, numbers, and addresses of all your important contacts.  
  113. You can even specify notes and custom information about each person in your 
  114. Phone Book.

  116. A built-in phone dialer is linked directly to sophisticated call tracking 
  117. facilities. When you place a call, the number is automatically dialed and 
  118. you can log the call's information.
  119.  
  120. CONTACT LIST.  The Contact List helps you keep track of your important 
  121. contacts, relatives, and friends.  A subset of the Phone Book, you can use 
  122. the Contact List to gather all of the people that you contact frequently.  
  123. Its compact size lets you keep it open without taking up a lot of space on 
  124. your desktop.

  126. NOTEPAD.  The Notepad module is a free-form notebook that allows you to 
  127. store almost any type of information you desire.  One or more pages can be 
  128. inserted anywhere in the Notepad. Each page may contain either text or
  129. graphics.

  131. When you insert pages, the page numbers are renumbered automatically.  As 
  132. you add and delete pages, the Table of Contents is automatically adjusted.
  133.  
  134. And since the Notepad lets you copy text from the OS/2 clipboard, you can 
  135. even bring in text from other applications.
