  153. ALLY QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS
  154. -----------------------------
  155. Although the following steps will get you off to a quick start, we
  156. recommend you review the manual before using ALLY extensively.

  158. QUICK INSTALLATION
  159.   1.  If ALLY is in an archived format, select or create a temporary
  160.       hard drive directory and decompress ALLY's archive file into it.
  161.   2.  Change to the drive or directory which holds ALLY, type
  162.       "INSTALL" and press [Enter].  Allow INSTALL to create a new
  163.       destination directory on your drive for ALLY.
  164.   3.  Follow the installation program's on-screen instructions to
  165.       complete the automated installation.
  166.   4.  If you used a temporary directory in Step 1 to decompress a
  167.       ALLY archive, you may now erase its contents.
  168.  
  169. PRINTING DOCUMENTATION
  170.   Type "COPY *.DOC PRN" to print the documentation.  (You can type
  171.  "PRINT *.DOC" instead if you prefer to use DOS's PRINT program.)
  172.  
  173. QUICK START
  174.    o  To use ALLY from the AutoCAD command line, type "ALLY" and press
  175.       [Enter], just like any other AutoCAD command.
  176.    o  To use ALLY from the DOS command prompt, change to the ALLY
  177.       directory, type "ALLY", and press [Enter].

  181.    Although not required for a quick first look, a detailed setup must
  182.    be performed before many of ALLY's advanced features and personal

  184.    press [F2] from the ALLY Workbench or run the ALLYSU.EXE program in
  185.    the installed ALLY directory.  See the ALLY manual for details.
