  315.  This option allows you to ADD files into

  324.  This option will allow you to add or
  325.  update the compressed file comments.

  334.  This option allow you to specify which
  335.  files to extract from the compressed
  336.  file. You may specify more the one
  337.  filespec when the prompt appears.  Wild
  338.  cards are allowed.

  341.  This option allows you to FRESHEN files
  342.  in the compressed by displaying a list
  343.  of files in a window.  After the window
  344.  is displayed you tag the files to
  345.  FRESHEN by pressing the space bar.
  346.  After all files have been tagged press
  347.  the ENTER key to process the tagged
  348.  files.
  349.

  351.  This option allows you to search all ,or
  352.  only tagged files, for a specific string of
  353.  characters using the program SGREP.COM
  354.  (Which must be in a directory in your PATH
  355.  statement). If no files are tagged then all
  356.  files will be searched.  After the search is
  357.  completed to results will be listed on the
  358.  screen. A normal or Regular Expression
  359.  search may be performed.  Regular Expression
  360.  searches are always case sensitive!!!!!
  361.  
  362. *altm   !!move-from-list!!
  363.  This option allows you to MOVE files
  364.  into the compressed by displaying a list
  365.  of files in a window.  After the window
  366.  is displayed you tag the files to MOVE
  367.  by pressing the space bar.  After all
  368.  files have been tagged press the ENTER
  369.  key to process the tagged files.
  370.  
  371. *altn  !!extract newer!!
  372.  This option will extract ALL or TAGGED NEWER
  373.  files from the compressed file into the
  374.  current DISK:\DIRECTORY or the one specified
  375.  via the ALT-P command.

  378.  This options allows you to specify a disk
  379.  and directory of where any extracted files
  380.  will be placed.  Specify the extract path as
  381.  follows:
  382.  DISK:\DIRECTORY
  383.  Pressing any key other than the ENTER key
  384.  will clear the extract path. To display a
  385.  directory window enter ONLY a DRIVE LETTER
  386.  FOLLOWED BY A COLON, then press the F9 key.
  387.  A single * may be entered to tell SHEZ to
  388.  use it's floating extract location
  389.  logic.
  390.  
  391. *altr !!rename highlighted!!
  392.  The ALT-R command allows you to rename the
  393.  currently hilighted file in the compressed
  394.  file. You will be prompted for a new name.
  395.  
  396. *alts   !!speed_srch!!
  397.  Speed search allows you to find a file
  398.  in the compressed file quickly.  After
  399.  the window pops up enter a standard DOS
  400.  file search pattern and press the enter
  401.  key.
  402.  The display will be repositioned to the
  403.  first or next file that matches the
  404.  pattern.
  405.  
  406. *altt  !!toggle tagged display line!!
  407.  Pressing the ALT-T keys will toggle
  408.  the tagged file display line at the
  409.  bottom of the screen.

  412.  This option allows you to UPDATE files

  414.  of files in a window.  After the window
  415.  is displayed you tag the files to
  416.  UPDATE by pressing the space bar.

  422.  This option will display the master
  423.  comment record and the file comment
  424.  records for the selected compressed

  428.  This option will extract ALL files from
  429.  the compressed file into the current
  430.  DISK:\DIRECTORY or the one specified via
  431.  the ALT-P command.

  434.  This option allows run a program against
  435.  all tagged file(s).  You will be prompted
  436.  to enter the program name to run, the
  437.  parameters to pass to the program, if you
  438.  want SHEZ to swap itself out of memory when
  439.  running the program, and if you want SHEZ
  440.  to pause after each execution of your
  441.  program.
  442.  
  443. *altz  !!virus check!!
  444.  This option will check files to see if they
  445.  have been infected with a virus.  You must
  446.  have the virus checking program from McAfee
  447.  Assoc. call SCAN.EXE version 39 or greater,
  448.  and have used the configuration program to
  449.  tell SHEZ where to find SCAN.EXE.

  451.  IF FILES ARE TAGGED SHEZ WILL ONLY CHECK
  452.  THE TAGGED FILES FOR INFECTION.

  455.  This option will toggle the authenticity
  456.  option when using PKZIP version 1.1 or
  457.  greater.  If the authenticity mode is
  458.  toggled on a ! will appear next to the
  459.  [FILE LIST] window header on the main
  460.  screen or next to the NAME field on the
  461.  compressed file contents screen.
  462.  
  463. *c  !!create-new!!
  464.  This will allow you to create a NEW
  465.  compressed file.  You will be prompted
  466.  to enter the
  467.  DISK:\DIRECTORY\FILENAME.EXT of the
  468.  compressed file to create, whether you
  469.  want to add or move files into the new
  470.  compressed file, and the DISK:\DIRECTORY
  471.  of the files to add and/or move to the
  472.  new compressed file.
  473.  YOU MUST SUPPLY A FILE EXTENSION FOR THE
  474.  FILE TO BE CREATED.  SHEZ CURRENTLY WILL
  475.  ALLOW YOU TO CREATE ZIP,ARC,ZOO,LZH,PAK
  476.  and UC2 files!!!!!
  477.  
  478.  You will also be asked if you want to
  479.  TAG files to be added/moved or process
  480.  the entered file spec as is.
  481.  
  482.  If the compression program you choose
  483.  supports saving path information you will
  484.  also be asked if you want to save
  485.  directory information, and if you want to
  486.  recurse the directory tree.
  487.  
  488.  If you are converting from a ZIP to an ARJ
  489.  or a ARJ to a ZIP file you will also be
  490.  asked if you wish to preserve volume label
  491.  information that can be stored inside the
  492.  compressed file.  (THIS OPTION WILL ONLY
  493.  APPEAR WHEN CONVERTING THE CURRENTLY
  494.  HIGHLIGHTED FILE.  IT WILL NOT APPEAR IF
  495.  RUNNING UNDER OS/2.)

  499.  This option will delete all tagged files
  500.  from the compressed file.  You will be
  501.  asked to verify the delete before the
  502.  files are actually deleted from the
  503.  compressed file.
  504.  
  505. *ctle  !!extract tagged!!
  506.  This option will extract all tagged
  507.  files from the compressed file.
  508.  
  509. *ctlenter  !!alternate viewer!!
  510.  This option will activate the alternate
  511.  file viewer if one has been defined in
  512.  the SHEZ.EV external file.
  513.  PLEASE SEE  THE USER MANUAL FOR
  514.  INSTRUCTIONS ON SETTING UP AN
  515.  ALTERNATE VIEWER.
  516.  
  517. *ctlt  !!update compressed time and date!!
  518.  This option will set the compressed
  519.  file's time and date to the time and
  520.  date corresponding to the newest file in
  521.  the compressed file.
  522.  
  523. *ctlu  !!untag all!!
  524.  This option will untag all currently
  525.  tagged files.
  526.  
  527. *ctlsp  !!tag all files!!
  528.  This option will tag all files in the
  529.  currently displayed window.
  530.  
  531. *ctlv  !!convert sfx files!!
  532.  This option will convert a self
  533.  extracting file back to its native
  534.  compressed file format. The self
  535.  extracting file will remain untouched.
  536.  The normal compressed file will be
  537.  built on the same drive and directory
  538.  where self extracting file is found.
  539.  
  540. *ctly  !!copy members to another arc!!
  541.  This option allows you to copy all
  542.  tagged files from the current compressed
  543.  file into another compressed file.  The
  544.  target compressed file may be any
  545.  currently supported format.
  546.  
  547. *ctlx !!exit to extract dir!!
  548.  This option will exit SHEZ and will
  549.  drop you off into disk and directory
  550.  that is specified as the extract
  551.  location.
  552.  
  553. *d  !!delete one file!!
  554.  This option will delete the currently
  555.  highlighted file from the compressed
  556.  file. You will be asked to verify the
  557.  delete before the delete is actually
  558.  done.
  559.  
  560. *e  !!extract one file!!
  561.  This option will extract the currently
  562.  highlighted file onto the default disk
  563.  drive and directory, or the
  564.  DISK:\DIRECTORY that was specified via
  565.  the ALT-P command.
  566.  
  567. *f      !!freshen!!
  568.  Using this option you can specify the
  569.  file(s) you wish to FRESHEN in the
  570.  compressed file. You may enter multiple
  571.  filespecs in the entry window.  Wild
  572.  cards are allowed for filenames and file
  573.  extensions.
  574.  
  575. *f10  !!to-dos!!
  576.  This option will temporarily exit to
  577.  DOS. You may then execute any DOS
  578.  command.  To return to SHEZ
  579.  enter EXIT at the DOS prompt and press
  580.  the return key.
  581.  
  582. *af10  !!to-dos to extract_path!!
  583.  This option will temporarily exit to
  584.  DOS and will drop you into the extract
  585.  directory. You may then execute any DOS
  586.  command.  To return to SHEZ enter EXIT
  587.  at the DOS prompt and press the return key.
  588.  
  589. *f2    !!switch_arc!!!
  590.  This option prompts for a new DRIVE:\PATH to
  591.  change to.  You may also specify a filename
  592.  and file extension if you wish. Wild cards
  593.  in the name and extension are allowed. IF
  594.  YOU ENTER A FILENAME OF $ AND A FILE
  595.  EXTENSION OF $ SHEZ WILL DISPLAY ONLY THE
  596.  ARCHIVE FILES THAT ARE FOUND IN THE
  597.  SPECIFIED DIRECTORY.
  598.  I.E. C:\WORK\$.$
  599.  You can also pop-up a directory tree window
  600.  by press the F9 key. When the tree appears
  601.  you may press the letters C-Z to obtain a
  602.  directory tree of a different drive. You may
  603.  also enter a DRIVE LETTER FOLLOWED BY A
  604.  COLON, before pressing the the F9 key.
  605.  
  606. *f8  !!edit!!
  607.  This option will allow you to edit a
  608.  file in the compressed file.  This
  609.  option will only work if you specified
  610.  an editor to use when you configured
  611.  compressedPER.
  612.  
  613. *f9    !!!get_sort!!!
  614.  F9 allows you to indicate how to sort
  615.  the list.
  616.  ALT-F9 allows you to specify the sort
  617.  order for each sort type. The sort
  618.  order specified will remain in effect
  619.  until you exit SHEZ or re-specify.
  620.  
  621. *fact  !!!compression factor!!!
  622.  This option will allow you to set the
  623.  compression method used by the PKZIP or ARJ
