  8. Images are used in HTML documents to add a bit of visual spark.
  9. There are many uses for images; for displaying photographs, adding
  10. decoration, hyperlinks, and so on.
  11.  
  12. 1 - Move upto the top of the BODY (i.e., immediately after the
  13. <BODY> code.
  14.  
  15. 2 - Press "return" once or twice to make some space.  We are going
  16. to display the file "logo.iff" which is in the "Pictures" directory.
  17.  
  18. 3 - Double click on the "Place image" item in the "Simple" command
  19. list.  A file requestor will appear.  Goto "Pictures" and select the
  20. file "logo.iff".

  22. 4 - Now reload the document into AWeb.  The page should now be
  23. crowned by the AWebEd logo.
  24.  
  25. 5 - Remember that the ALT text should always be included, as not
  26. everyone can be bothered to wait for images to load in.  Try to
  27. limit the size of your images to cut down on bandwidth.  Best
  28. results are usually obtained by using many small images together.
