  2. Welcome to Waves plug-ins demo
  3.  
  4. This read me file lists requirements, what's in the Waves demo
  5. and where to find more information.
  6.  
  7. What are Waves plug-ins?
  8. This is a complete set of pro audio processors. 
  9. The Waves demo plug-ins has 7 software plug-ins:
  10.  
  11. L1- Ultramaxinizer for mastering maximum audio output level 
  12. Q10- 10 band paragraphic equalizer
  13. C1- Contains C1 compressor and C1 gate
  14. S1- Stereo Imager for rebalancing a stereo mix and creating a wide stereo stage
  15. TrueVerb- Reverb/Distance virtual space processor
  16. AudioTrack-Three in one audio processing tool contains gate, compressor and 4 bend EQ
  17. MaxxBass-Bass response expansion plug-in
  18.  
  19. What do I need?
  20.   A Windows95 or WindowsNT Computer with 486 or higher processor.
  21.   16 megabytes of RAM.
  22.   One of the following host applications:
  23.     - Steinberg WaveLab 1.6 and higher version
  24.         - Steinberg Cubase VST 3.5 and higher version
  25.     - or any Active Movie compatible application.

  28. What was installed?
  29. So you'll know where everything is, here is what the installer does:
  30. The Waves demo installer creates a folder named "Waves" on your hard disk.
  31. Inside the "Waves" folder you will find the following folder:
  32.  
  33. * "plug-ins" - The following 7 sound processing plug-ins:
  34. Q10 v2.3, L1 v2.3, C1 v2.3, S1 v2.3, TrueVerb v2.3, MaxxBass 2.3 and AudioTrack 2.3.

  36. How to demo Waves plug-ins:
  37. Waves plug-ins will demo for 15 seconds and then will mute the audio after 15 seconds,
  38. you might expect to have some error notes after 15 seconds of preview,
  39. do not worry, your sound editing application will not crash, the best way to demo Waves 
  40. plug-ins is by loop a sound file for 14 seconds.

  42. >From Cubase VST, 
  43. open the Effects from the Audio menu
  44. and choose one of the Waves plug-ins from the plug-ins list you get when you click on the 
  45. top right window.
  46. click on the Edit button to view the plug-in interface.

  48. >From WaveLab,
  49. click on one of the empty windows of the master section's panel to get the plug-ins list
  50. and go to Active Movie menu to select one of waves plug-ins to insert.

  52. Waves plug-ins guide will be show up when click on each of plug-ins help button.
