  1. This is the README file for the Templeton Project suite of web tools.
  2. Current tools include:
  3.   * Templeton: a WWW mirroring and information tool.
  4.   * Fern: an HTML syntax checker.
  5.  
  6. The current documentation, system requirements, installation notes, and
  7. usage are in HTML format.  Use your web browser to view the file: index.htm
  8.  
  9. This shareware release is for OS/2, Solaris, and Linux.
  10. Other operating system version are under development.
  11. HPUX 10.20, SunOS 4.1.3, and IRIX versions can be made available
  12. upon request.

  44. The installation and system requirements are described in
  45. "tton.doc/system.htm".
  46.  
  47. The OS/2 version has been heavily tested under Warp 3, but should run under
  48. OS/2 2.1 and OS/2 4.0.  Requires EMX 0.9a (or later) and TCP/IP 2.0 (or later).
  49. The OS/2 executable works with the Internet access kit.
  50.  
  51. Finally, unregistered versions of Templeton only run for about
  52. 10 minutes at a time and will expire after a few months.
  53. Unregistered versions of Fern have a small delay before running.
  54. The same registration code will work for both Fern and Templeton.
  55.  
  56. This release of the Templeton Project is not for use in countries where
  57. crippled or expiring software is illegal.
