  1. If you read this, you have succesfully
  2. extracted
  3.      ALTERRA v0.93ß.
  4. Thank you for trying out our game.
  5. Please read the note a few lines below.

  7. This game runs in LOW resolution and
  8. requires 1 MB of RAM. It has been
  9. tested on a 1040 stf and a Mega STE.
  10. You should have three folders and
  11. three files:
  12.  
  13. DAT : ALTERRA.DAT
  14. PICS: 5 PI1-files
  15. MAPS: STANDARD.MAP 
  16.       GERMANY.MAP (rename to use)
  17. ALTERRA.PRG executable .93beta
  18. README.1ST  this file
  19. MANUAL.TXT  not very accurate
  20.  
  21. Redistribution only allowed FREE
  22. and WITH ALL FILES.
  23.  
  24. As you see, this is a BETA version.
  25. Therefore, we accept no responsability
  26. for any damage due to use of our game.
  27. There are still a lot of bugs in this
  28. version. Yet, we give you this version
  29. as we really want some feedback now.
  30. For quick starting instructions,
  31. see the manual.

  33. A few loose remarks: a lot of menu-
  34. options are not yet implemented.
  35. Nothing terrible happens if you choose
  36. them. Do not choose 'change map', as
  37. this will unfortunately quit the
  38. program :-)
  39.  
  40. Please read this note:
  41. we are about to abandon the atari
  42. platform in favor of the apple.
  43. This means, there won't be a lot of 
  44. work on this game after this 'release'.
  45. YOU can change this. The MORE feedback
  46. we receive, the MORE chance there is
  47. we will continue for some more time.
  48. We also would consider serious, non
  49. profit, attempts to take over our work.
