I. General Notes
_____________________________________________________
The list below describes errors that might occur:
* "Unsupported Browser" message may appear when Mosaic is launched
from Acrobat.
This occurs when the startup page is heavily loaded with
graphics. These graphics are loaded onto the browser, and
then the request for your website is sent. A solution is to
go into your browser's preferences and change the default
startup web page. Either have no default page or have a default
page that is not graphics intensive.
* Acrobat toolbar buttons are completely unrecognizable.
If Windows 95 users have Plus! installed and use the Desktop Themes,
certain themes (e.g. Star Trek and Dangerous Creatures) will gray out the
toolbar buttons in Acrobat Reader. The Windows default theme will not
gray out the buttons.
* Negative numbers and numbers greater than 100% appear in the
Weblink Connection Status bar.
This is a bug with Acrobat. It is purely a cosmetic error and
should in no way affect the operation of the Yellow Pages.
Warning: Declining the Adobe Electronic End-User License Agreement
will cause the installation process to complete without
Adobe Acrobat being installed.
Warning: The Acrobat Search Plug-in must be selected during the
installation process or the Adobe Acrobat feature of
Yellow Pages will not function and an error will occur.
(These issues are strictly Adobe Acrobat installation related.)
If either of these warnings have occurred, i.e. the Adobe User Agreement
was declined, or the Search Plug-in was not installed, you will need to
reinstall Yellow Pages.

II. Windows 95 Notes
_____________________________________________________
* Installation
Place Luckman's WWW Yellow Pages CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Within several seconds, the installation menu is shown. Alternatively,
double click on setupyp.exe on your CD-ROM drive, to start
Luckman's WWW Yellow Pages.

III. Windows 3.1X
_____________________________________________________
* Installation
Assuming that drive "D" is your CD-ROM drive, install Luckman's
WWW Yellow Pages software from CD-ROM by double clicking on
D:\Setup.exe.
Win32s is required to run Enhanced Mosaic. If Win32s is not
installed on your system, Yellow Pages will install it for
you. After the installation of Win32s, your computer will be
restarted and then Yellow Pages installation program will
have to be rerun.
The list below describes errors that might occur:
* "Win32s - Error EMOSAIC.EXE Unhandled Exception detected" or
"Incorrect Browser Version" displays when using Super Mosaic with
Acrobat and the Yellow Pages.
An error has been found in the interaction between Acrobat and
the browser. The problems occur when a URL is accessed by clicking
a link in Acrobat. As page loads into Mosaic and the user returns
to Adobe Acrobat, the same, or a different, link is then clicked on
before the previous page has finished loading. The user will be
presented with a window asking if they would like to cancel the
previous request. The user clicks 'Yes' and an error message
is displayed.
At this point the Mosaic application will shut down. You should then
reboot your computer and start Yellow Pages again.
Instead of canceling the request from within Acrobat, cancel the
request by toggling over to the Mosaic browser and press <Esc> or
click "stop" in the toolbar.
This is a problem with the Adobe Acrobat Weblink feature.
There is no current work-around for this problem.
* Acrobat freezes
If the Adobe Acrobat program ever freezes during operation, you must
reboot your computer first to be able to use Luckman's WWW Yellow
Pages directory.

IV. Netscape Users:
_____________________________________________________
The list below describes errors that might occur:
* "Unsupported Browser" message may appear when Netscape is
launched from Acrobat.
For Windows 3.1, when you start Netscape the browser checks
for its own netscape.ini file and if it does not find it,
a pop-up will appear asking you to accept or decline Netscape's
end-user agreement. For Windows 95, when you switch between
versions or start using Netscape for the first time, a pop-up
will appear asking you to accept or decline Netscape's end-user
agreement. That agreement causes compatibility issues with
the Adobe Acrobat Weblink and Weblink will display an
unsupported browser message. This is because the agreement
stops the loading of the browser and Weblink assumes that
the browser has finished loading. As it tries to communicate
with the browser it does not get a response and assumes it is
an unsupported browser. The solution is to pick one version of
Netscape and use it, or use Mosaic as the default browser for
Yellow Pages.
* Netscape may not display when a URL is clicked upon in Acrobat
and the Yellow pages.
This a bug in Acrobat's Weblink feature. It does not bring the Netscape
window to the top after it loads the URL. You can re-display the
Netscape window by typing <cntl><esc> to display the task window.
>From there, select Netscape and it will be re-displayed on top of
Acrobat. This applies only to Windows 3.1 or 3.11 for Workgroup and
Netscape 2.0 and above users.
* When launching Netscape 3.0 from Acrobat, the Toolbar, Location, and
Directory buttons disappear.
This is a cosmetic error and in no way effects the operation of Yellow
Pages. Resize the screen or reselect the Toolbar, Location, or Directory
buttons from the "Options" menu and those features will reappear.
