  1. This is the CD that accompanies the book
  2. "Compressed Image File Formats" by John M. Miano
  3. (Addison-Wesley-Longman 1999)

  7. o Programming examples for the book Chapters (Examples subdirectory)
  8. o Sample images (Images subdirectory)
  9. o Image file format specifications
  10. o An image file library based upon the book examples (Library subdirectory)
  11. o 3rd Party Software with source code (3rdparty subdirectory)
  12.  
  13. The 00inhere.txt files describe the contents of a directory.
  14.  
  15. Before using the 3rd party software, be sure to check the description
  16. files that come with each package. Most packages may be freely used, but
  17. some are shareware.
  18.  
  19. When copying from the CD, the files may have the write-protect attribute set.
  20. If so, you will have to write-enable them before updating or deleting them.
