  1. The program "FCONVPC7.EXE" is the same converter program as
  2. "FCONVST7.PRG" but re-compiled for the IBM PC or compatible.  It can
  3. be copied to an IBM disk and used on an IBM machine to translate and
  4. encode files for an ST running the ST version.  .EXE and .COM files
  5. are not interchangeable to .TOS, .TTP or .PRG files but other binary
  6. files such as .IMG and 1st Word Plus files are interchangeable with
  7. similar IBM files.

  9. The programs FCONVPC7.EXE and FCONVST7.PRG are public domain  and 
  10. may be freely copied and given away.

  12. Although desk accessories can be called, be sure to disable the
  13. serial port (by clicking on "Disable serial port" in the "extras"
  14. menu item), otherwise an input from the TNC will overwrite the
  15. window opened be the desk accessory.  Making the code cope with the
  16. desk accessory and the serial port made the writing from the TNC to
  17. the screen unaccepably slow - sorry!
