  3. Exercises ask you to complete a sentence by supplying the missing idiom.

  5. In this exercise, the ten idioms are shown on the screen.  You are asked to
  6. type the idiom from the list which best completes the sentence.

  33. ^[F2] CHANGE SCOPE^  Press [F2] to switch the scope of the lessons the
  34. exercise will cover, to: 1) current lesson (idioms are selected from the
  35. current lesson of ten idioms), 2) previous lessons (idioms are randomly
  36. selected from all previous lessons, including the current lesson), or 3) all
  37. lessons.  The word, ~Current~, ~Previous~ or ~All~, appearing after [F2] CHANGE
  38. SCOPE, indicates the currently chosen scope.

  40. ^[F9] QUIT Exercise^  Hit this key to get out of the exercise screen and
  41. return to the Main Menu.

  45. In some cases you may also see ~[TAB] Switch~.  The [Tab] key is used when the
  46. idiom part of the sentence is broken into two parts, so that you can switch
  47. from one part to another.
  48.  
  49. IdioMagic will let you know whether the answer you gave is ~CORRECT~ or
  50. ~INCORRECT~.  If your answer is incorrect, it will ask if you want to try
  51. again.  To try again, type Y as your answer.  In this exercise, IdioMagic
  52. accepts two forms of the answer as correct.  You can type the idiom exactly as
  53. it appears on the list, or--if the grammar of the idiom as it is used in the
  54. exercise is different--you can type it in the tense that fits the sentence.

  60. On the exercise screen, this sentence will appear as follows:

  65. You can type KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE or KILLED TWO BIRDS WITH ONE
  66. STONE, and IdioMagic will happily accept either one.  IdioMagic will also
  67. accept some answers that are just a little bit off (grammar and typo's), in
  68. which case it will flash a message asking you to ~CHECK FOR CORRECT
  69. SPELLING/USAGE~.
