  5. located on your hard drive at C:\Windows. If Windows

  18. ABOUT  TIPTAP
  19. ==============
  20.  
  21. Welcome to TipTap Lite, a multimedia system providing a unique
  22. learning experience for children.
  23.  
  24. TipTap is a system designed to teach typing and handwriting skills,
  25. phonics, and grammar. The user receives a combination of auditory,
  26. visual and tactile reinforcement. This is known as a multi-sensory
  27. approach to learning and is beneficial for all students, regardless
  28. of individual learning style.
  29.  
  30. Through beautiful and colorful animations, illustrations, creative
  31. sound-effects, systematic repetition, and reinforcement of correct
  32. responses, youngsters happily engage in an exciting learning experience.
  33. Lessons can be printed on either a dot matrix, laser or PostScript(tm)
  34. printer, allowing children to create their own illustrated spelling books
  35. for practice, and serving as a visible record of their accomplishments.
  36. Exercises are designed to be brief; repetition is encouraged.

  56. This shareware version has the following limitations:

  58. Only 2 user words are allowed
  59. You cannot print the user words
  60. You cannot add your own sentences
  61. There are only 2 of the 20 typing lessons
  62. There are only 5 animated phonics lessons 
  63. You cannot expand the system with other modules and lessons

  117. The first time a WinG application runs in a new video mode or after
  118. a new display driver has been installed, WinG performs a performance
  119. test to determine the fastest way to display graphics to your display.
  120. You will only see this performance test once for a any given video mode.
  121. On slower machines the test may last several minutes. WinG is part
  122. of the new Chicago (Windows 95) version of Windows graphical interface.
  123.  
  124. WinG version 1.0 provides the fastest graphics to screen capabilities
  125. under Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95, and
  126. Windows NT version 3.5. WinG will not run on Windows NT version 3.1
  127. or on earlier versions of Windows.

  129. WinG requires a 386 or better processor to run.
  130. WinG will not run on a 286.

  133. INSTALLATION:

  136.  1 - After starting this installation program (install.exe)
  137.       and reading this material, choose "Menu".
  138.  
  139.  2 - Select "Start Installation".
  140.  
  141.  3 - Once installation is completed you may delete all files
  142.       from temporary directory.

  145. NOTE:
  146. =====
  147.   -- WINDOWS DIRECTORY --
  148.   The default windows directory is: C:\Windows
  149.   If Windows is located in a directory other than the
  150.   default, you must go to the "Menu"  "Set Windows
  151.   directory" and type in the Windows directory's
  152.    location.

  154.   This is not necessary if Windows has been installed in the
  155.   default directory of C:\Windows
