  34. I have completed today Version 2.07 of my DVI driver family,
  35. and updated all the source directories on  SCIENCE.UTAH.EDU.
  36. Although this version supports one new device, and  enhances
  37. the support for another, it does not provide any substantial
  38. change for  users,  so  sites which  have  already  received
  39. Version 2.06 should  not feel compelled  to do an  immediate
  40. upgrade.
  41.  
  42. The major changes are as follows:
  43.     * support for the KCC-20 compiler on TOPS-20;
  44.     * addition of a driver, DVIL75, for the DEC LA75
  45.       printer (thanks to John Sauter for this);
  46.     * substantially enhanced BBN BitGraph driver:
  47.         ** instant keyboard response during screen
  48.             update to support rapid screen
  49.             repositioning and document skimming
  50.         ** large characters now sent as downloaded fonts
  51.            instead of being sent as raster bitmaps
  52.         ** zoom up and down in magnification
  53.         ** coarse and fine control of screen positioning
  54.         ** now works with both white and black backgrounds
  55.         ** character overwrite at right margin no
  56.            longer happens (appears to be a BitGraph
  57.            internal bug)
  58.     * addition of a public-domain version of the Unix
  59.       Version 7 MAKE utility which supports six (yes, 6)
  60.       different operating systems (sources on
  61.       APS:<TEX.PUB.MAKE>), and Makefile's now used for
  62.       building the driver family on all supported machines;
  63.     * updated, extended, and INDEXED installer's manual
  64.       (dvidriver.*) (95 pages)
  65.     * dvijep (HP LaserJet Plus) now handles characters
  66.       too large to be sent as downloaded fonts
  67.     * BSD 4.1 core-dump-at-exit bug fixed (the bug was
  68.       in BSD, NOT the drivers)

  70. If you wish  to retrieve these  via Internet ANONYMOUS  FTP,
  71. get the  file 00README.TXT  first; it  tells where  to  find
  72. everything else.
