  5. This DeskTop  application  provides  you with a
  6. means of matching a location  with an STD code,
  7. or matching an STD code to a location.
  8. On double clicking on the application icon in a
  9. filer  window,  it's icon will  be installed on 
  10. the iconbar of the  desktop and it will proceed
  11. to load the directory entries.

  14. This will take a little while as there are over
  15. 4000 directory entries to be read in.
  16.  
  17. Clicking select over the  !STDtrace icon on the
  18. iconbar  will open  the search  window to allow
  19. you to enter  either a location  name or an STD
  20. code.

  25. A short note on the search procedure:
  26.  
  27. All strings entered are changed into an initial
  28. Capital letter, with the rest in lower case.
  29.  
  30. ie. London  /  Stoke-On-Trent  /  etc.
  31.

  34. Please  note that any name with  Saint in it is
  35. shortened to the recognised abbreviation of St.
  36. and no space between the  fullstop and start of
  37. the next word.
  38. ie. St.Albans  /  Buckland St.Mary  /  etc.

  40. Also hyphenised strings are initial capitalled-
  41. ie. Stoke-On-Trent  /  Burgh-By-Sands  /  etc.

  44. Entering an STD code will find all entries with
  45. the same (or part) of that code.

  47. Note that not all  locations are catered for in
  48. the directory, only exchange locations.
