This chapter lists supplemental information to the _I_R_I_S
_S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e. The information listed here is
product- and release-specific; use it with the Installation
Guide to install this product.

This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of IRIS
InSight DynaWeb.
If you are installing this product for the first time, the
subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
installed if you use the ``go'' menu item. To install a
different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
select the ``go'' menu item.
Note: The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to
the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information
on finding exact sizes.

2.3 _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n__M_e_t_h_o_d
All of the subsystems for IRIS InSight DynaWeb can be
installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot.
Refer to the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete
installation instructions.
2.4 _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s
To run IRIS InSight DynaWeb you should have some IRIS
InSight books installed for the server to access.
2.5 _C_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n__F_i_l_e_s
To personalize your version of the DynaWeb server you may
want to customize the DynaWeb configuration file located in
/_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_I_n_s_i_g_h_t/_d_w_e_b/_d_a_t_a/_c_o_n_f_i_g/_d_y_n_a_w_e_b._c_f_g._t_m_p_l. For
details on customizations refer to the _I_R_I_S _I_n_S_i_g_h_t _D_y_n_a_W_e_b
_A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_o_r'_s _G_u_i_d_e.
2.6 _F_i_l_e_s__N_o_t__L_i_s_t_e_d__b_y__vvvv_eeee_rrrr_ssss_iiii_oooo_nnnn_ssss
The file /_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_I_n_s_i_g_h_t/_d_w_e_b/_d_a_t_a/_c_o_n_f_i_g/_d_y_n_a_w_e_b._c_f_g is
generated at server initialization. Do not edit this file
to pesonalize your server.
2.7 _O_t_h_e_r__I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n__I_n_f_o_r_m_a_t_i_o_n
In order to start the DynaWeb server after installation, you
must do the following:
#### cccchhhhkkkkccccoooonnnnffffiiiigggg ddddyyyynnnnaaaawwwweeeebbbb oooonnnn
#### ////eeeettttcccc////iiiinnnniiiitttt....dddd////ddddyyyynnnnaaaawwwweeeebbbb ssssttttaaaarrrrtttt
DynaWeb will then be available at the following URL
addresses:
hhhhttttttttpppp::::////////<<<<mmmmaaaacccchhhhiiiinnnneeee____nnnnaaaammmmeeee>>>>::::88888888////
hhhhttttttttpppp::::////////<<<<mmmmaaaacccchhhhiiiinnnneeee____nnnnaaaammmmeeee>>>>::::88888888////DDDDWWWWEEEEBBBB----CCCCOOOOLLLLLLLLEEEECCCCTTTTIIIIOOOONNNNSSSS////
2.7.1 _C_h_a_n_g_i_n_g__t_h_e__S_e_r_v_e_r__P_o_r_t__N_u_m_b_e_r
If you need to use a port other then 88, then the following
procedure describes the steps necessary to accomplish this
option:
- 3 -
%%%% ssssuuuu
#### ////eeeettttcccc////iiiinnnniiiitttt....dddd////ddddyyyynnnnaaaawwwweeeebbbb ssssttttoooopppp
Edit the /etc/init.d/dynaweb file and change the "88" in the
line that looks like:
exec ./$WWWD -p 88
to whatever port number you require.
Next, you need to change the port number in the DynaWeb
configuration file located in
/_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_I_n_s_i_g_h_t/_d_w_e_b/_d_a_t_a/_c_o_n_f_i_g/_d_y_n_a_w_e_b._c_f_g._t_m_p_l. Edit the
line in the file that looks line:
DWEB_PORT = 88
to whatever port number you require.
It is recommended that you not use the default port (port
80) for an alternative number since other servers use this
port. Only use port 80 for DynaWeb if you do not plan on
using other servers. For details on customization for
systems with multiple configurations, refer to the Section
"Running DynaWeb as a Process with Multiple Configurations"
in the _I_R_I_S _I_n_S_i_g_h_t _D_y_n_a_W_e_b _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_o_r'_s _G_u_i_d_e.
Once the editing is complete, turn the server back on and
use your new port number in URL's referencing the server.
