  12.        The following Impressario 2.0 patches have been incorporated
  13.        into Impressario 2.1.  There is no need to install these
  14.        patches on Impressario 2.1.  If either of these patches is
  15.        installed then it will be removed when the update to
  16.        Impressario 2.1 is done:

  18.           +o Patch 1328 for SGI bug 376904 -- /usr/lib/print/psrip
  19.             will not work with Kanji font keys.  This causes Kanji
  20.             fonts to not work.  Only needed if the Kanji font
  21.             option was installed under Impressario 2.0.  This patch
  22.             was found on the Kanji Fonts for Impressario CD
  23.             (marketing code SC4-IMPJ2-2.0 or SC4-IMPJ5-2.0.)

  25.           +o Patch 1415 for SGI bug 383022 and 387531 -- N32 version
  26.             of libspool was not compiled N32 on the Impressario 2.0
  27.             release.  This only affects developers writing
  28.             Impressario GUI applications that are compiled N32.

  33.           +o The /usr/sbin/mkjtpr shell script (used for adding a
  34.             printer that is connected directly to the network)
  35.             would sometimes indicate that a printer could not be
  36.             connected to when the printer was not on the same
  37.             subnet.  This has been corrected.

  39.           +o The /usr/lib/print/text2pcl filter no longer logs a
  40.             debug message in /var/spool/lp/log when it is run.

  42.           +o The HP 1600C DeskJet driver model file
  43.             /var/spool/lp/model/deskjetII_model incorrectly set the
  44.             name of the ICC color profile to use to hp2600C200.pf.
  45.             The correct file name (hp2600C2.pf) is now used.

  47.           +o The HP 1200C no longer offers a resolution setting of
  48.             600 DPI (the HP 1200C supports a maximum resolution of
  49.             300 DPI).

  75.             any utility that uses libspool.

  77.           +o The Epson Stylus printers would not use MicroWeave even
  78.             when the option for Microweave was set from the options
  79.             panel.  That has been fixed in Impressario 2.1.

  81.           +o The HP ScanJet scanner drivers previously listed the
  82.             maximum resolution as 1600 DPI.  If the resolution was
  83.             set higher then the maximum interpolated resolution
  84.             supported by the scanner then the setting was ignored
  85.             and and the maximum interpolated resolution supported
  86.             by the scanner was used. The IIc and IIcx are supported
  87.             with a maximum resolution of 800 DPI.  The 3C and 4C
  88.             are supported with a maximum resolution of 1200 DPI.
  89.             The 4P is supported with a maximum resolution of 600
  90.             DPI. (These are the maximum interpolated resolutions
  91.             supported by these scanners.)

  96.           +o A bug that prevented the OPTION string from being
  97.             parsed correctly in model files has been fixed.

  100.             characters in the banner page title field has been
  101.             fixed (example:  single quotes).

  103.           +o A bug that prevented gscan from scanning small files
  104.             when used as a PhotoShop plug-in has been fixed.

  106.           +o A bug that prevented gscan from terminating a scan when
  107.             used as a PhotoShop plug-in has been fixed.

  109.           +o Some printer drivers searched for the string "/dev/plp"
  110.             and would only print to the /dev/plp device (preventing
  111.             the additional parallel ports available on an IO4 from
  112.             being used).  This restriction has been removed.

  114.           +o A bug that prevented a printer queue from being
  115.             disabled by commands in an lp model file has been fixed
  116.             (lp model files disable a printer queue when an error
  117.             is detected to keep print jobs from being dropped).
  118.             This problem is only seen if the lp system is stopped
  119.             and started using the commands "/etc/init.d/lp stop",
  120.             "/etc/init.d/lp start".  Developers should add the
  121.             following to their lp model files to avoid the same
  122.             problem:
