  1. Barking Cards Volume II Trial Version

  4. This is a trial version of Barking Cards Volume II. 
  5. The complete version includes a collection of over 
  6. 90 of our favorite Barking Cards. This trial version 
  7. includes a small subset of that complete collection.
  8. If you decide to purchase Volume II, a CD-ROM will 
  9. be mailed to you including the addtional cards 
  10. (it's too large a file to be downloaded).

  12. With Barking Cards Volume II there are many ways to 
  13. personalize your cards.  You can customize the text 
  14. in the cards, add more text, add photos or clip 
  15. art, record voice messages or add pre-recorded sounds. 
  16. You can then send the self playing card to your recipient 
  17. by attaching it to an email or by saving it to diskette 
  18. and sending the diskette.  To create and customize the 
  19. cards you must have a system with the following 
  20. minimum requirements:

  22. - 486DX (or higher) IBM PC compatible 
  23. - Windows 95 operating system
  24. - 8 MB of RAM
  25. - 35 MB of available disk space for the full version
  26. - 12 MB of available disk space for this trial version
  27. - VGA or higher Video board
  28. - 2X CD-ROM Drive
  29. - Mouse
  30. - Sound card (if you want them to hear the sounds)

  46. TROUBLESHOOTING:
  47.  
  48. 1. Installation Issues:  
  49.  
  50. a) There have been reports of "This program has performed an illegal 
  51. operation" errors during install on some IBM Aptiva computers. 
  52. It seems that the version of Windows95 that ships with some Aptivas 
  53. includes a corrupt ODBCCP32.DLL file which can be found in the 
  54. Windows/System directory.  The file should have a size over 90K 
  55. but the corrupt version is only 6K.  If you find this is the
  56. case during installation, temporarily rename the corrupt ODBCCP32.DLL
  57. file to a new name before retrying the installation.  Then proceed with
  58. the installation which should now work.  After Barking Cards is 
  59. installed you can go back and rename the corrupt file back to 
  60. ODBCCP32.DLL.
  61.  
  62. b) On some systems, at the conclusion of the installation an error
  63. message appears, "_ins0432  This program has performed an illegal 
  64. operation".  This is an Installshield message and it occurs after 
  65. all the files have been successfully installed.  It can be disregarded 
  66. because Barking Cards Volume II will operate correctly.

  70. c) Pause/Quit toolbar is centered on the screen. 
  71.  
  72. If you run a Barking Card and the Pause/Quit toolbar displays in the
  73. center of the card, you need to adjust the settings of your video 
  74. card.  To change this, 
  75.   
  76.    - Hit the Start Button 
  77.    - Go to Settings 
  78.    - Select Control Panel 
  79.    - Choose Display 
  80.    - Then Settings 
  81.    - Then change the Center Dialog Box setting
