IAB Protocol Actions
by Bob Braden <braden@isi.edu>
In accordance with the previously-existing organizational rules, the
IAB has approved the following two IESG recommendation:
1. The IESG recommends that the Internet Draft "IP and ARP over FDDI"
<draft-ietf-fddi-ipoverfddi-00.txt> be published as a Standard. This
protocol is the product of the IP over FDDI Working Group of the
IETF. The IESG contact person for this protocol is Philip Almquist
<Almquist@jessica.stanford.edu>
2. The IESG recommends to the IAB that the RIP Version 2 protocol and MIB
be published as Proposed Standards. RIPv2 and MIB are described in
the following documents:
"RIP Version 2 Carrying Additional Information"
<draft-ietf-malkin-rip-05.txt>
"RIP Version 2 MIB Extension"
<draft-ietf-ripv2-mibext-03.txt>
The document:
"RIP Version 2 Protocol Analysis"
<draft-ietf-ripv2-analysis-00.txt>
contains an analysis of the protocol and should be published as an
Informational RFC. These protocols and documents are the product of
the RIP Version II Working Group chaired by Gary Malkin. The IESG
contact person is Bob Hinden.
This completes all outstanding standards approvals by the IAB.
Assuming successful completion of the reorganization begun at the last
IETF meeting, future Internet standards approvals will come from the
IESG.
