_HOST_ (History Of Science and Technology)
Ladies and Gentlemen:
If any of you are interested in the history of science and
technology, you may like to know about a new Electronic Journal in the
discipline. Called _HOST_ (for History Of Science and Technology),
the Journal is published twice a year, in Spring/Summer and in
Fall/Winter. The Spring/Summer issue of 1993 will be issued next
week. It contains articles on the history of genetics, medieval
mathematical problems, history lists, and scholarly reviews of the new
Gates' book, _The Hacker Crackdown_, new books in _Medieval
Technology_, and so on. Electronic subscriptions to the Journal are
free; just send an e-mail request to me, jsmith@epas.utoronto.ca and I
will send copies out as soon as they are ready. Be sure to include
the e-mail address you want the journal to be mailed to. Submissions
are also invited for the Fall/Winter issue; the Journal contains
information for prospective authors as well.
