  4.  The Domain Survey attempts to discover every host on the Internet by
  5.  doing a complete search of the Domain Name System.  The latest results
  6.  gathered during late October 1992 are listed.  For more information see
  7.  RFC 1296; for detailed data see the pub/zone directory on ftp.nisc.sri.com.
  8.  This survey was done using the census program developed at the University
  9.  of California Santa Cruz; see technical report UCSC-CRL-92-34 available
  10.  on host ftp.cse.ucsc.edu.  The statistics below were generated by running
  11.  the collected host data through a number of utility programs.
