  24. Description of Working Group:

  26. The Network Printing Working Group has the goal of pursuing those
  27. issues which will facilitate the use of printers in an internetworking
  28. environment.  In pursuit of this goal it is expected that we will
  29. present one or more printing protocols for consideration for standards
  30. status in the Internet community.
  31.  
  32. This working group has a number of specific objectives: to provide an
  33. Internet-Draft which will describe the LPR protocol; to describe printing
  34. specific issues on topics currently under discussion within other
  35. working groups (e.g., Security and Dynamic Host Configuration); to
  36. present our concerns to those working groups; and to examine printing
  37. protocols which exist or are currently under development and assess
  38. their applicability to Internet-wide use, suggesting changes if
  39. necessary.

  44.      Done       Review and approve the charter, making any changes deemed 
  45.                 necessary. Review the problems of printing in the Internet.

  50.                 the May IETF.  Discuss document on mailing list.

  52.      Done       Submit LPR specification for publication as an RFC.

  54.    Jul 90       Write description of the Palladium printing protocol (2.0) in 
  55.                 RFC format.

  57.    Aug 90       Discuss and review the draft Palladium RFC.

  60.                 printing issues in the Internet. Review status of Palladium
