  18. RFC1348 Changes

  20. The draft clears up the reverse lookup method and adds the inclusion of
  21. Network Entity Titles.  NSAP prefix storage appears to be unworkable
  22. without a seperate RR type.  If this feature is desired, then a new RR
  23. may be added.  The label NSAP-PTR needs to be corrected, since it is not
  24. a pointer.  Bill will post the revised draft shortly after the IETF.

  28. They need a RR to lable an administrative domain or AD. The plan is to
  29. use a 32bit number.  Rob will follow up and make sure this happens.

  31. Shuffle and Load

  33. Mimi described a problem that needs to query for load average of a
  34. logical cluster of machines.  Mel and Walter both came back with two
  35. distinct ways to try and address this problem.  Mimi will write up a
  36. draft that better covers the problem space.

  40. Mike pointed out the problem with the com and edu zones.  EDU We should
  41. recommend to the new NIC that following rule of thumb be used for new
  42. assignments in the EDU zone:

  45.    o xxxx.edu - 4 year schools that issue masters/phd degrees or
  46.      equivalent.
  47.  
  48.    o xxxx.state.country - 2 year schools or those that issue associate
  49.      or bachelor degrees.

  54. The COM domain is still a problem.  We might recommend the second level

  63. distributing the servers off root platforms.

  65. MIB: IESG to decide on Propsed Standard this week.  The discussion
  66. regarding setting values via SNMP will be discussed on the list.  Scott
