  27. The major purpose of this group is to coordinate BGP deployment and
  28. application in the current Internet.
  29.  
  30. It intends to create a forum for BGP users to share BGP deployment
  31. experiences and also provide a channel for users to communicate with
  32. router vendors who implemented or who are implementing BGP.  It also intends
  33. to discuss BGP policy application and coordinate policy implementation
  34. in the current Internet routing environment which includes defining the
  35. usage of policy, defining a mechanism to share policy information, etc.
