  5. The AToMMIB WG met two times during the Memphis IETF.
  6. To purpose was to wrapup work on most specifications.
  7. The results were as follows:

  10. 1. Definitions of Supplemental Managed Objects for ATM
  11.    Management
  12.    * Faye Ly gave a review of open issues.
  13.    * Mickey Spiegel had identified detailed comments which were
  14.      presented by Keith.
  15.    * The meeting decided to incorporate most non-UNI 4.0
  16.      comments and tasked Faye and Mickey to review and incorporate
  17.      the edits.
  18.    * after the I-D posting this spec should be considered
  19.      done and should be progressed as PS.
  20.    * The meeting decided also on a strategy to deal with
  21.      management features of functions such as UNI 4.0:
  22.      - Wrap up the ATM Supplemental MIB now.
  23.      - List the features that dont make the cut for a
  24.        candidate MIB module "ATM3 MIB"
  25.      - The chair will request a charter extension.

  27. 2. RFC1695rev and ATM TC MIB
  28.    * In the ATM Supplemental MIB review process also items
  29.      concerning the RFC1695rev and the ATMTC MIB were identified:
  30.      - To be compatible with the IP-over-ATM MIB a minor extension
  31.        of the AtmAddr TC was requested - this was agreed
  32.      - Mickey suggested an addition to the traffic descriptor
  33.        table - this was agreed.

  35. 3. Managed Objects for Recording ATM Performance History
  36.    Data Based on 15 Minute Intervals
  37.    * since the editor did not attend there was some confusion regarding
  38.      the status. The chair will investigate.

  40. 4. Definitions of Tests for ATM Management 
  41.    * this spec was discussed together with the generic Test MIB
  42.      of the Interfaces WG.
  43.    * comments on the generic Test MIB suggest some minor changes:
  44.      - add an VariablePointer object pointing to additional info
  45.        relevant for a test.
  46.      - refine the detail on abortion of a test
  47.      a new (presumable last) draft will be posted.
  48.    * the ATM Test MIB will be adapted to the previous changes and
  49.      a new (presumable last) draft will be posted.
  50.    * after these postings these specs are considered
  51.      done and should be progressed together, both as PS.

  53. 5. Supplemental SONET/SDH MIB
  54.    * Following discussion it was agreed to pursue this MIB
  55.      with as scope the list of items posted by Kaj earlier
  56.      based on T1.231 compatibility. Structure should follow
  57.      the DS1 Supplemental MIB draft.
  58.    * Keith pointed out the approach difference between the
  59.      telecom and data worlds and noted that this kept his company from
  60.      implementing the full SONET/SDH MIB.
  61.    * The chair will request a charter extension for this work.
