  7. Subject:    Schema Registry BOF SUMMARY

  9. After a productive meeting, we decided to create a registry service to
  10. be deployed by December 1997. Components of this creation are:
  11.  
  12. -Use Listing semantics as opposed to vetted registration semantics
  13. -Centralize the process for now 
  14. -Centrally administer the database (although it may be distributed)
  15. -Decide whether to allow modifications and amendments to the registered schema
  16. -Determine the minimum namespace
  17. -Determine which syntaxes are allowed for registration
  18. -Find a document editor
  19. -Create a mail list.

  21. Keith was satisfied that we had enough interest and volunteers to
  22. charter the working group
